omg hiiiiii I really love your music! It's great, and it always makes my day whenever you release a new video. (I found your channel because my friends thought I was you since we have the same first and last names lmao)
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tCARw3OWKlc.html f you want me to play a song, just write its name in comments and you'll see your name on my video.
Patrik has one of the best piano arrangements of AOT. His works are in my top 3 favorites, and he only has 3 arrangements of AOT yet. So looking forward for more AOT (The Rumbling) please ...
*DOCUMENTATION OF MY PRACTICE:* OPENING SECTION: 0:03 | 0:06 | 0:10 | 0:14 0:17 | 0:21 | 0:24 | 0:28 (This part was relatively easy, although I messed it up earlier in my practice due to a lack of music theory and failure to remember the notes. Usually, this was because I was worried about the upcoming parts) //Just practice the chord changes and you should be fine. PART ONE: 0:33 | 0:37 | 0:40 | 0:44 0:47 | 0:51 | 0:54 | 0:58 (This was slightly harder than the opening, but is relatively easy once you get it down) //Find a comfortable fingering for the right hand, and it'll be easy. SOFT BUILD UP: 1:01 | 1:05 | 1:07 | 1:11 (This was just as easy, if not easier, than the opening section. It is fun to play and sounds soothing) //It has an extremely simple 3 hand technique. Practice the right hand and just add the left hand after, since the left hand is simple. MINOR BUILD UP: 1:14 | 1:17 | 1:18 | 1:20 (This is a bit harder than part one, but just as fun to play as the soft build-up before) //Just practice the left-hand jumps and then the right hand, then add them together slowly. MINOR CLIMAX: 1:28 | 1:31 | 1:34 | 1:38 1:41 | 1:45 | 1:49 | 1:53 (This is fun once you get it, but it is the hardest part so far to learn and play) //Practice both hands separately and work on the left-hand jumps. Then work on the right-hand chord changes. CALM SECTION: 2:00 | 2:03 | 2:07 | 2:10 (Really fun because I get to rest and be extra emotional in the part) //This is by far the easiest part of the song, so you won't struggle at all if you make it this far. SUDDEN BUILD UP: 2:17 | 2:20 | 2:23 | 2:25 2:28 | 2:30 | 2:33 | 2:36 (This part is a little harder, so I have to focus when playing it) //Watch out for the chord changes and jumps and practice them slowly. MELODIC SECTION: 2:41 | 2:44 | 2:46 | 2:49 2:52 | 2:54 | 2:57 | 3:00 (Sounds good and is as fun to play as the soft build-up earlier) //Relatively easy to learn once you reach this far. GRADUAL BUILD UP: 1. 3:02 | 3:05 | 3:08 | 3:10 2. 3:12 | 3:16 | 3:18 | 3:21 (Transition to 1 from the melodic section is fun to do. These two parts are relatively easy to play once you learn it.) //Adding hands together is the hard part. 3. 3:24 | 3:26 | 3:29 | 3:32 4. 3:24 | 3:36 | 3:40 | 3:44 (This part was one of the first walls I encountered due to its difficulty. I have to focus to play it without error and still worry when playing it) //Practice really slowly. PRE CHORUS: 3:45 | 3:50 | 3:55 | 4:01 (Sounds freaking great when played smoothly in the transitions) //Really, really slow practice is key and dedication. MINOR CHORUS: 4:06 (Worth all the wait and build-up as it sounds nice since it's a beat drop) //Slow practice and practice jumps TRANSITIONAL SECTION: 4:28 (Harder than it looks, and I still have to get in the groove to play it smoothly) //Slow practice all the way. Can't help ya any more, lol. The right hand jumping is very difficult and the left hand jumping is all muscle memory. Practice separately. MAJOR CHORUS: 4:49 (I spent weeks on this alone. The runs plus jumping are hard because you can only focus on one. I'm bad at runs, so I had to watch it and that caused me to mess up the right hand jumping, which is mostly me praying to do it correctly) //It has gotten easier since I spent a long time practising each hand separately then together then separately again. I practised at various speeds. Update: It's not that bad once I rely on muscle memory jumping then looking quickly to adjust for any possible misalignment. SOFT CHORUS: 5:16 (This part is fun as it sounds great while allowing me to rest after that previous part) //Easy if you reach this far. CLOSING SECTION: 5:37 (Haven't learnt this yet but will soon and it should be manageable)
@@KaanServet-pb9bd Thanks, I'm practically done. That closing bit seems relatively easy, but I can't bother reading all the notes on the left hand atm. I simplified it though.
@@KaanServet-pb9bd It's really fun to play though and sounds even better on an actual piano. Atm I use a 61 key lol. Maybe I'll record it and upload in the future. 61 keyed version.
@@KaanServet-pb9bd You will get one with time, just keep your dream alive. I myself used to practice on a broken keyboard at home that didn't even make any sound at all (I relied on muscle memory and the feel of it). My bro was scared to lend me his, so I saved for a while and got myself the best keyboard I could find in a certain price range. Just get one that has touch sensitivity, and you should be fine (Unless you want to save for way longer and get a full keyed one with weighted keys).
This is wonderful! Does anyone know what he is using to get the piano key effects above the keyboard like that? I noticed the light even reflects off his fingers which is so cool.
Here's a video of someone doing a tutorial on the lights! Hopefully it will help. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-IZgYViHcXdM.html (I think there are other ways to do it though.. but i haven't really searched enough lol)
he must've recorded on his pc or phone while playing this on synthesia or an app like that, then he removed the digital piano from the recording and added his real piano instead then edited it to add the lighting effects and some other final touches
Knowing nothing about midi keyboards or AfterEffects, my suspicion is that his keyboard lights up when he hits a key, which is picked up by the overhead camera (and lights up his fingers). He then has a program that uses the timing of each light to create the simple effect of an anticipatory bar heading towards the key.
I didn’t know what this song was but I still clicked on it because when you play every song is amazing. This song was so amazing when you played I loved it!!!!! ❤️🙂
The special effects, colours, cracks in the background, the particles... you are hands down the best pianist youtuber out there and you never fail to impress us.
The best pianist on RU-vid. The quality of music is so high and you can learn it for yourself too which is amazing. The reason he is the best, is the music is difficult but original in composition and not a cover, one can slow the songs down to see what he is doing with fingers and the presentation is amazing too.
It’s not cringe man. This guy isn’t playing without people being able to see what he is doing and the songs are really well made eg The Mandalorian Theme. I am 3/4 way through it and it sounds amazing too.
How cringe? There's nothing cringe about it, its arrangements are very well done. Oh and I'm like you, but I try to learn one of the most difficult pieces he made, light of the seven lol. Sounds amazing tho
Have always been thinking I am the only one trying to learn these songs. Sounds good to hear I am not the only one struggling with such difficult movements
Dear Patrik, what I really admire: You are no show-off, every arrangement shows your musical sense and the love and respect for the original composition. It’s not virtuosity for the sake of virtuosity, it’s music for the heart
as a musician I have to say this arrangement is extremely impressive. It isn’t easy. A lot of technical prowess is still required to perform it. But it’s very fun to play. And sounds amazing
This is incredible! It is cool to see you covering all these Attack on Titan tracks. Are you considering doing any of Hiroyuki Sawano’s orchestral music for the show? He has written quite a few epic ones. Keep up the amazing work!
While I have no idea about the context of the piece in the actual Anime, the amount of emotion you are bringing out is stunning, to say the least. Lovely done!
I am pretty sure that the ost used for that scene was Youseebiggirl, these two ost are similar, they are different only in the way they end, the vocals and the first half
Diese Farbenpalette ist so schön. Ich könnte solchen Screenshot an der Wand haben. Unnötig zu sagen, brillant gespielt wie immer. Danke Patrik für alle visuelle und auditive Erlebnisse.
Honestly this and the season 4 opening piece he did alone make me want to watch attack on titan. You put so much feeling into your pieces and it’s incredible. Keep on going Patrik!
If anything should make you want to watch attack on Titan it’s attack on Titan lol...great story, action scenes, and as you can tell the music is absolutely amazing.
@@hammyofdoom8355 for sure, I think really all those elements add together to create an absolute masterpiece. I might be overstating it but just my opinion lol. AoT is one of if not my favorite anime’s of the decade.
Watch it. It’s a masterpiece. It’s like GoT, but they didn’t f*ck up the ending. (However the anime isn’t completely finished) The animation is great, the soundtrack beautiful (as you can tell by watching the video), the writing is amazing and it’s just overall a masterpiece.
I have a suggestion for a new video. "A Walk in Space" is a piece i recently found on musescore and its awesome. musescore.com/user/37598117/scores/6623274
I’m not a anime guy myself, I really don’t like most of them if I’m being honest. But, this and FMAB broke through that and are now some of my most favorite shows ever..really should consider it.
I just wanted to say thank you so much for playing that song it’s just amazing. Go on like this you play incredibly well and you’re my favorite pianist. So thanks again for playing this music that comes from this wonderful masterpiece (snk) :)
Again as everyone says over and over, you, my good friend, r the best pianist on RU-vid. You never disappoint with your videos and the diversity in the songs you choose to play is amazing. Pls take my suggestion: u should do either iron man 3 next or the antman theme
this song is so holy and beautiful that every times i hear this part 1:26 , i feel like im in the middle of a yellow wheat field and just enjoy my life, wind blowing, dandelion flying and all that stuff, just make me feel like in in heaven or sth
I actually am so confused why you don’t have millions of subscribers. I played piano as a kid and fell away... then I saw 1! Of your video, yeah just 1! And I started learning from your channel that day! Even for people who don’t play your content is so amazing. Don’t stop doing this please. You truly have a gift.
