Hey buddy... it's the servo... has more turn radius. Both are awesome. I don't get to use them enough, I haven't explored how to improve it, if there is room for it too except more throw. This little boats are great I'm not going to be the guy tinkering with the boats as I got a lot of other areas my time is limited. Have a good one, let me know if you figure something out.
Boat found on Aliexpress - s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DEdc9NN Boat found on Banggood - www.banggood.com/custlink/GDmJC1B6NR We had a lot of fun doing this video. We also brought some other boats along not seen in the video (Volantex Tumblers) that are also good pool runners. I sure like to find a spot with a shallow stream or creek and drive these upstream! That can be a lot of fun too and would be a fun video. I got A LOT other great content filmed and I'm editing my butt off getting these videos release for the channel, so be on the lookout for them soon! Thanks for watching MRC and see you soon on the next video.
These boats are a lot of fun. We brought the sprintjet to the cottage with us 2 summers now and it does well in the lake along the shore too. It's only a small lake about 3 miles big so the waves are not big but it's fun. I need to find a nice shallow stream and these things are super fun to try to drive upstream! I've seen videos about it but still have to find a spot where I can try on my own. Probably better in the spring or fall because there is more rain and water is running more. Things dry up here in the summer. My Volantex Tumblers are also great boats for the pool, check out my videos on those boats. Not sure if you can still get them. They are not jet boats though. Thanks for leaving a great comment!
@@mikesrccornerThank you Mike for the your reply. I will check those vid's out. sound like a lot of fun..lol. Stay safe my friend. See you on the next one.👍
Awesome little jet boat Mike, i seen these recently advertised from WLtoys. Just bought the Yellow 2 battery option from your aliexpress link, turned out to be cheaper than the one from Banggood with only 1 battery, cheers brother 🍻
Hey Dave! Awesome stuff. I see the price of the shipping now has gone up. I ordered mine on Aug28 and shipping was less. Oh well it's good fun. Afterward I looked at the steering and I think I might do another video about it, but the servo plugs right into the steering mechanism. i'll have to remount my servo because i have to trim it a fair bit to the one side so re-centering it will give equal steering left and right. Right now my boat has tighter turning going right. Overall I'm very pleased! Fun to drive 2 boats together. I like to take these to a nice shallow creek or stream so I'll have to scout something out. Cheers and thanks for dropping by!
Hey thanks for dropping by! Yeah man I don't live near a good place for boats so I have to plan and make a trip to a pond / lake / pool to run my boats, so I don't do it very much, maybe a few times a year. Always fun letting the boats go for a rip. These would be super fun to drive upstream in a shallow creek or something.
Hehe I snuck one in late this year buddy! I saw this show up on my feed on Aliexpress and when I saw what it was for the price, I had to get it to compare. Price has gone up since I bought it and now it's showing up on more websites. It's pretty good boat, steering radius isn't as good as the proboat. I need to get this to a shallow creek and see how it works going upstream. Thanks for dropping by DRC! Hope you are doing well!
Thanks John! My peeps love driving RCs with me so when I want to go RC I have to have at least 2 other RCs ready and charged so they have ones to drive too! lol. It's all good! Thanks for the compliments. I have a great buddy who let me use his pool for swimming and do this video. Have a good one John!
Yes I know what you mean and this WL917 was much better sealed. It had a few drops in it after I ran it. The sprintjet after this boat run had quite a bit more water in it. It's a good boat, it just won't steer as good as the sprintjet due to their mechanism how the servo connects to it. I'll have to investigate on another servo that might have more farther end points. Thanks for the comment!
