Attempting/testing new cake trends!! New series maybe??? You guys want more cake decorating videos, so here you go! I've made a bazillion cakes in my day. Well maybe not a bazillion, but close. I loved trying something new, with YOU!! The good, the bad, and the ugly, watch it all. I attempt the Pull me up Tsunami cake trend to see if it works. I decorated three vanilla sphere cakes with three different designs using sprinkles, glitter and tie dye using white chocolate ganache. Honestly had so much fun trying this one out, even though me and chocolate aren't friends.
1/2 cup of chocolate at 88-90 degrees for best results, you're welcome!

These are so adorable! One quick tip, stick the girl in after you pour the ganache into the ring, that way you’re not fighting your way around her and it makes it easier to keep her clean. 😁 Love you and Kevin!!! 💙💙💙

I’m just glad that the chocolate instructions warned you that it would seize before coming together again. I’ve done so many recipes where they just assume you know that things will work out in the end and I’m freaking out as nothing looks right....until it does.

These are amazing!!! Think if you had a party for a little girl and made several for a little tea party birthday or princess party and all the little dolls were the little girls cut out. Then they could decide what they wanted on their dress before hand. Oh that would be so cute!!

i can see the glitter pink one being a little hard to eat, but it still looked fabulous even with it clumping up a bit. i loved all 3 so much tbh. I can see these being made during the actual party. Having the cake part already made and waiting to finish the dress during the party. Cuz for sure would be hard to time otherwise.

I really enjoyed the tie-dye one! What about doing one through a colander as you layer the liquid colors? Like the acrylic "dirty pour" technique when it's done with paints, but it seems like it ought to work with liquid icing?

It’s such a modern take on the Barbie cakes. My mommom made me one every year! With a real Barbie!! And she piped the icing on it! Nostalgia! There’s are a cute idea though! Especially if the child gets to pull off the little cup holding the icing! Cute!

Suger is hydrophillic - meaning it loves water. Chocolate seizes when a bit of water gets in a chocolate and all the sugary chocolate fights for that water - creating messy clumps. By adding warm water to the solution, you're giving each bit of sugar some water to hold onto so they stop fighting, relax and return to a smooth mixture. Adding all the water at once or a little at a time doesn't change this - it's just science. What adding little bit of water at a time DOES change, is the fact you may be able to unseize your mix with less water and it it can help you control accidentally adding too much - but since you double checked your math, you did it exactly as it should be done. Good job!

Kevin and Laurie...I didn't realize it but I was actually holding my breath when Laurie pulled the cookie cutter up and I let out a super loud Ooooo Wwwooowwwww and got a huge smile on my face🤗. My husband looked at me and said, "what the hell are you watching that's got you so enthralled that you're holding your breath"....well, I rewound it and made him watch it. So he said "Wow, that is cool looking, lmao". My favorite part of it is when you pull up the cutter the icing is like stuck to the cutter and then it lets go and just starts rolling down the cake. Love, love, loved it!! Thank you both for the awesomeness. Ya'll two are just too dang funny to watch!! For me at least. Ya'll bickering and bantering back and forth reminds me of my brother, sister, and myself when we get together. A small note my brother and sister are Kevin and Lori and then me. Lol

Well as a maker of food & sugar art and wedding cakes, pastry etc.. I'd say these cakes will be fun for people who are not so skilled in the arts of using flour & Italian buttercream. It's simple and cute nothing wrong with that. If it puts a smile on the one receiving those cakes then it's all worth it.

This was really helpful, thanks! One observation...when using the image/stick doll, I feel like you could add the chocolate first, then poke the doll in. That would help keep from messing up the doll by accident and with the multi color, enable the swirling of colors.
