Love it! Also your sewing skills are getting insane. The corset could have even worked with the two piece as an outfit. If you still have the skirt, you could make a slip dress, and even style with the jacket for another cute outfit!

I fully agree with Kori Lane, you should use the corset with the two piece and then make a slip dress with the skirt portion of the corset and wear that with the jacket as well
You should add boning to the seams of the corset and finish the bottom with black bias tape! Both pretty simple steps that would elevate it significantly.
@emmychum & @Kalan Lynn And pair it with a pair of black flare-bottom pants! The blue jeans Becky paired it with did absolutely nothing for that gorgeous top!
All i could think was how i would do black visible boning channels and also cut off stripes (or black ribbon instead of stripes to tie bows on shoulders😍). And i really love your idea with bias tape! Also maaaaybe a bit more sweet heart neckline but that is probably more complicated step hah
I miss the old videos. I LOVE your new videos. But I miss the classics, Becky and Kelsey together. Doing ikea as is challenges, dollar store diys and thrift flips together.
Kelsey's in Love ❤️❤️❤️ Changes as Her LiFe is Changing especially when traveling so MUCH... Come on Girls if there's an issue Fix it because We the Followers...Love the Sorry Girls
@@nodiggity8746 that makes me so mad. That's the sort of dumb thing people say that makes friends question their relationship, even if they were totally fine.
my fave is 80s crop jacket! looks amazing, especially the back. The skirt fits weird though... I think the idea and styling was great, but the leather somehow deformed
That's because she did one seam in the middle back to make the waus smaller.. It would have been better for the fit if the skirt to take away material from both side seams but taking away more material from the back piece of the skirt at the seam than from the front piece. (70%-30%) if that makes sense to you
@@Kath-Erina or a little at the sides and then two darts in the back. She essentially made one big dart. If it had been taken out of either side of the back (like between the side seam and the back seam) it would have also been better! I still think it looks great, that's just something I wanted to put out there for anyone else wanting to learn!
OMG, you killed this challenge! Love the attitude with the two piece, it was obvious that you felt great in it. LOVE your hair in the opening 🥰! It’s so pretty put up with the pop of color from the scarf, you should definitely rock it often. TFS, sending the whole TSG fam 🤗💜 & 🙏🏻 for a healthy, happy & Blessed week! 🦚- R.U.
(7:10) Rather than cutting upcycle projects apart, I prefer to unstitch the garment. This gives me the maximum amount of material to work with. Additionally, seeing the original construction may be helpful in recycling the piece.
I’m sad that the two of you (Becky/Kelsey) rarely work TOGETHER anymore. Is this just a covid thing or is there more to it? Seems like you two aren’t a team anymore, just contributors to the same channel. 😭 Still love TSG, tho!
Yeah, maybe they've grown apart but don't want to leave the business that they have together.. i mean it's their job and not that simple to grow a successful channel like they have. That's a sad risk when you go into business with friends :/ i think they manage well if thats the case. But you still feel there's something up
The jacket is really impressive! I just wish you would have done something to finish off the edges where you cut. Without any sort of hem or similar they just look a bit rough and unfinished to me
I feel like a white or cream coloured hooks and eyes strip would’ve been a better match or punching holes and lacing the front. Someone mentioned that adding boning would help with the structure and I think that would indeed make it look more like a corset. Otherwise, great artistic direction, love the two piece set. I would fit the skirt even more in the lower back. For the dress you could make a little silky sleeping gown with the rest of the material or make it a cowl neck dress. Always love getting inspos from your channel 🤗🤩
The bottom to the dress could be so many things especially with her skill set... A cute summer Sun Dress or shift or under kimonos Tops Looks for Hot weather or Hot Sexy Nights for Example: ...
SO. GOOD. I love the results!! Please turn the skirt part of the dress into a chic, spaghetti-strapped dress that dips in the front naturally bc I can just see it coming to life🥰
Fun fact, here in New Zealand (and possibly other countries, I don't know) our thrift stores are called Op Shops which is short for Opportunity Shops. So Rachel saying "so many opportunities" is so true! :)
I LOVE how these came out, but it’s so weird hearing the second top called a “corset” lol. I think it’s more of a bustier? Corsets almost always lace up, cinch, and require boning and/or a busk. Weird technicalities aside, these came out dope as hell! I especially love the leather two piece!
Ok… anyone else sad that Becky actually did NOT make a leather bra (top) out of the “thong” part she cut off??? I think it would’ve looked great unter the cropped jacket. Like a total three piece set!
Raw edges on the leather? Could have been handled by cutting the "skirt" portion higher, folding inward and top stitching for a finished look. Otherwise, it looks like you just cut up some other piece. Love watching your ideas come into focus, though.
agreed - when she removed the lining too I was like oh no no no... it's good for a look but I think a finished piece with lining and no raw edges is what we want!!!
For some reason, I thought Becky was going to make the beige skirt of the dress as wide-legged pants. But daannnnggg! The creativity with the outfits is so good! :)
omg that corset top! that two piece! becky is seriously so fkn talented!! the only thing i wouldve done different is swap out the corset straps for a black fabric that can be tied in a bow on the shoulder, to help bring in the black of the hook/clips. but i'm impressed per usual, becky!!
If Rachel ever started her own channel I would 100% watch it. And remain loyal to TSG! But she is such a vibe. I love her. She makes me laugh every video :-)
Can we have more Andrea & Rachel videos, please? I loved their energy and how they bounced off each other. So fun. Also, Rachel is the breath of fresh air and positivity this channel needed, she really does bring a whole other vibe to the channel like you're hanging out with your best friend who is the ultimate hype woman.
I am obsessed with the two piece, it turned out so good!! With the top I kinda wish you had added the black somewhere else too because it looks a bit random, but the way it fits is still so nice
First off, loved the projects, looked great. But I was very glad when you switched venues from the beginning because that echo was actually painful. Maybe some decorative fabric wall hangings could be another office episode.
Cool remake! Next time you have an item with too much bulk, an easy way to tailor it is take in that center seam running up and down on the back. Ez-Pz!👍
This 2-piece set, I'm obssesed! 🤩 I want it right now! Plus I know what you can do with this triangle pieces that has left. Send it to Vic from Maneskin as a bra, she's gonna love it! 😁
I wanted to see more videos of the two of you together. I understand when it’s a project in each house but videos like this could have the both of you in it?
Me on all your sewing adventures... "No, no, no, no.. Oh, yep, that's better." You have a funny way of doing it backward and then figuring it out and I think that's so helpful for people who don't know how to sew.
Keep in mind that bringing items you don't want to VV is not 'donating' as they are a large multimillion dollar corporation with minor charitable effects.
I don't understand why Becky's videos don't get as much views or likes compared to Kelsey's. They definitely have their own styles and vibes but I love Becky's more. Here for the algorithms
You got my creative juices going! Great job, Becky! I love how the pockets of the leather jacket ended up falling perfecting on the side of your hips. It made you look curvy in the right places. 🔥🔥🔥 If you don't keep the fit then I WILL!!!!
It started out and I thot "This ain't the Sorry Girls"- then, voila! The redoes are phenomenal. Coming from someone who can mess up anything with a machine but who knows hundreds of Needlework stitches and techniques ,you got my stamp of Grade A prime goodness. Thank you.
Tbh I feel like both the corset and the two piece might look good with each other. And a purse made from the skirt of the dress?? And a 50's like scarf headband??? Would that be to much?
Omg I can't believe I'm this early and I just love your channel my dream job is becoming an interior designer And you guys inspire me so much ily guyss so much
Loved the dress! Reminded me of the 20s dresses with straight, slightly lose fit. And no not everything back then had tassels xD Cut just above the knee it basically IS a 1920s dress .. at least in my mind ^^
