Anime intro themes. What can I say about these boppy little tunes? There is usually a TON of energy put into them, no matter the mood or genre. The right song can definitely add to the atmosphere of the anime itself (in terms of story, characters, etc) and sometimes it can be the selling point for a lot of people curious about said anime. Pretty sure that's how I got into JoJo and Mob Psycho 100. Anyways, J-Rock and Video Games (mostly Video Games) have always been a huge influence on my writing style. After doing it for so long, I wondered what I could manage in just 1 hour. So here it is. Did I succeed? Watch and find out on this episode of..."Attempting to Make an Anime Intro Theme in 1 Hour". I had the idea that, in the Shady Cicada anime, the characters *are* their instruments. They have human (or humanoid, this is anime after all) forms, and are still those forms truly, but they share a connection with their type of instrument and have a special, soul-linked version of it. I.e. Shady is a guitar/bass, Wood Wood is an Oboe (with the idea from other comments of being the only good one from the spite tree), then we could have 1-3 (power trio-five man 'band') other deuteragonists being Drums, Piano/Keyboard and maybe Vocals (a siren or some kind of microphone, perhaps). That way we have Strings, Percussion, Woodwind and Vocals.

No one will probably see this but I have to say it, the beginning of the challenge version had some sudden transition but beside that I felt charged just from listening, of course they’re are some little things that could be improved upon but all around that challenge version was amazing. The final version was astounding with a better startup and all around a smoother flow to the music, and I’d also like to say that “Overdrive” was a perfect name IMO because I feel so charged or electrified when I listen and I can envision a intro animation to it perfectly (obviously exaggerated but you get what I mean). I doubt many will see this comment but I hope I got my feeling across and I know it may make some angry saying “oh it’s his song lay off him” but I’m here to critique because I love it that much and I know it can be better, and I have such a big passion for music, so stuff like his gets me emotional.
