One thing with these situations is to not give in because then she will be like “okay if I fuss and cry a lot I can go back to sleeping in mom’s room”. It’s difficult but the reason why she’s waking up is to find comfort, so after each time she wakes up and you provide her comfort she will get used to being in there because your comfort is telling her “it’s safe to sleep in here and you will be okay.” One thing I would try is putting the crib that’s in your room into that room and having her sleep in that crib that she’s used to. That could be a reason as to why she keeps waking up cause it’s a new mattress. Her body basically is saying this crib is for naps and this one is for sleeping so just switch the cribs.

Luna is so stinking adorable! I did a gradual transition during after noon nap time. I would put the boys in the crib for nap and when they woke up we would have play time. I think they associated the room with fun that they eventually stayed in their crib all night. Everyone is different and has a different style of parenting. You do what you feel is best for you and Luna. I think you're both doing an amazing job. The love pours right through the screen. Best wishes on your parenting journey!

Brings back memories. Each age has its own challenges. And i agree with barb, it will take a few nights to adjust and it’s tough during the transition but stick to the plan.

At least yall successfully have nap times in the crib! Its so personal for each family. What works best for my family of four for example has been bedsharing with both of our littles. My mom bedshared with me too. My first kiddo slept in our room in his playpen until we moved when he was 5 months old. Slept with me ever since. I personally would like to get them into their own bed and room eventually but really love our routine currently. Best of luck with your LO 💗 youre doing a wonderful job. Sleep regressions are rough. Also, when our kids are near us sleeping their heart rate is more consistent and they sleep better! So Madeline you are not wrong 😊

You really do not wish your child could sleep in your room forever and ever. Her thriving and you and your husbands thriving depends on these boundaries. You and your husbands relationship needs to thrive, as we all grow up and leave our parents and our parents continued connection is so important. She is not going to love you less not sleeping in your room. Don't give up and keep reinforcing. She will self soothe as well. Do not leave pacifier holder on clothing, that could be a hazard. Do not bring back into your room, that is going backwards. You will make it harder in the future. Parents can not let their emotions control these pivotal times where the outcome is best for your child. Nap time in their room is best too. Good luck.

@@madelineandstephenTry switching the cribs out. I think she’s used to sleeping in one and taking naps in the other so that’s why it’s probably harder for her to fall asleep. I don’t think it’s the change in rooms just the change in cribs. Try that and see if it helps any!

I did the taking Cara babies course and it was a game changer! Once my daughter put herself to sleep she slept way longer stretches and only wakes up once to feed. She goes to bed between 7-8 and wakes up around 3am to feed and then sleeps till 6! (She’s just about 8 months)

What I did with my kids was i would start with the naps in her crib in her room like you guys are doing but then at night start with everything the exact same as it is in your room except in her room so put the playpen thing she was sleeping in , in your room and have her sleep in that but in her room and have the same amount of light and the same sounds etc. Then slowly start changing the routine up until she is in her crib in her room with a specific routine that you do each night. It will be a transition so you do have to just stick it out as it takes getting used to things for anything we have our kids or even ourselves do that is new. It may take a few weeks of being tired but if you dont stick it out you may never give her the chance to get used to it and its VERY helpful to get her used to sleeping in different rooms and with different things and in different beds etc cuz people would always comment how good my kids were sleeping when we would go to game nights or to spend the night at friends houses because our kids could sleep anywhere and others peoples kids wouldnt do that at our house cuz they only had their kids sleeping in the same cloths with the same stuff etc and never deviated. But as always I feel you need to find what works for your kids and you but I would def give it time and consistency though or it will not happen without consistency.

But you do not give up upon a negative reaction to one vegetable or..... Keep on rotating the veggies and encouraging. It is in the best interest of your child and her nutrition and health journey. Good luck. P.S. be careful with the orange veggies, too many can cause an orangy skin hue and hair as well(speaking from experience, for our son it was carrots too).

You can do it ❤ I know it’s hard but it’s sooooooo worth it to have them sleep in their own crib, even if it’s a few nights a week. Not to mention safety. There is over 3500 sleep related infant deaths every year in the US.

Sometimes it'll help when she does wake up, you sneak in and sit in the dark by the door (I usually would just sit on the floor) and would whisper night night and then do the sshh shhhh shhhh shhhh. Also maybe try putting her in before she falls asleep while you sit in the dark so she can learn to self soothe herself to sleep instead of rocking her. Just some thoughts and tips but you guys are amazing parents and will master this. Much love ❤️💙💜

I have a almost 5 month old who’s going through a sleep regression. We just transferred her to her crib about a week ago and we had to put the crib in our bedroom. She’s trying to crawl right now which doesn’t help that she has a lot of space in her crib to try and crawl and just move in general but we put her to bed at 730-8 and she’ll sleep till 4, she’s comfortable sleeping in our room rather than her own.

If weight is good could you stop the night feeds? This made a huge difference in our Daughter sleeping through the night. We night weaned around 6 months. Especially with bottle feeding it wouldn't be hard making sure she gets the additional calories during the day. Just add a few ounces to every bottle. Also sleep training may help if this is something your comfortable with.

I have a sister who has three kids and a brother who has two kids. I think I heard my sister or my sister in law say it not good for babies to lay on their stomach or back when sleeping. Maybe it is just for newborns. I think my sister and my brother in law did take turns being in the room when their kids were babies until they fall asleep. I think their oldest son who is 6 now did fall asleep on them and stayed on them because he just wanted to be on them when he was a baby for his naps. I think their second son did that too who is 4 now. Their daughter who is two now haven’t done that. I don’t remember what my brother and sister in law did to get their kids to go to sleep, I think I didn’t heard much and too long away since their oldest son is 10, other son is 8. You guys will figure out something because you guys are really great parents.

put the sppon on her tray let her feed herself, my daughter starteddoing so and snatching it away at 6mo, shes currently exactly 8mo. also u can steam veggies let her eat it, if she has teeth or not feeling solids and feeding herself is great for them also dont force it, what i did with my son and will do with my 8mo daughter is wait till 12mo/a year... to move to the crib by then they are older to know its time for big girl bed. so both of you get rest.. its new to her so she will have a hard time lol. i co slept. i moved my son to his crib at 12 mos overnight, lowered the crib all the way down and took one rail off the crib, he would wake up at night and end up on the bed haha but he would stay asleep on his own. which was good. fast forward hes 4 now across the hall in his own room

My advice would be to just let her cry for a little bit and self soothe. She will be ok. She is used to being in ur room so maybe put a TV in her room that has the light and if ur room smells different than her room make it smell like ur room. Like maybe with something from your room? Not sure but maybe... just a little advice from a mom of 6. It also could be the different bed. Try putting the bed from your room in her room.

You guys are doing great as parents but my only advice is to you guys is to keep put her back in her crib and she will get use to it if you don't you will get her routine all messed up I know it's hard on you guys to let her sleeping there and it worries you guys but you guys will eventually get used but it will help you in the future so that way she not fight want to sleep in her room when older when there younger its easier to get them use to there room then when older but keep up the good parent skills your doing great

maybe try and leave her in her room even if she does cry and see if she goes to sleep on her own… if she cries for more than 10-15 minutes definitely go and get her to make sure she’s ok!

I breastfed both the first and the second until I was a year old, the main thing for me was to get enough sleep and wake up rested in the morning. So I bought a side bed and every 2-3 hours I didn’t get up anywhere, but simply moved closer to the child. And the baby felt my warmth and I slept at a safe distance from him 😊 Now my children are 7 and 6 years old, they sleep peacefully separately, there have been no problems with separate sleep. We slept separately from the age of 2.😊

Vegetables! it’s universal, children don’t eat vegetables! And Broccoli, it should be forbidden until they are 25! Number one rule of thumb, forget anything that is good for you. Our son had food allergies so it was really tough maintaining a rotational diet. We maintained that through grade school only to learn later he would throw out his lunches on his way to school because they were different. And then when he left home to go to university, I swear we would be rich now if we had bought stocks for every fast food restaurant. Best of luck! If memory serves me right, try squash if you haven’t already done so. At that age, sweet is what they desire. And I’ll expand on my earlier comment about broccoli - food should not be green, so peas are also out.
