For anyone who doesn't really surf it's important to know how much SMALLER the gopro makes waves like these appear. And they already appear big, meaning they are HUGEEEEEE. Much respect Kai
Yeah, I mounted a GoPro on the front of my board, and it's a terrible angle. Unless you get barrelled every wave looks tiny. Kai's barrel here at 2:10 onwards looks incredible!!
That barrel footage at Nazare was once in a lifetime. You may never see something that epic again. Thanks for sharing this Kai!! Every normally complimentary word to describe your legendary status is a severe understatement. That was the best board mounted footage I’ve seen! Just captured all the elements of life in the water-rides, wipeouts, clean-up sets, a mad barrel ride with only one foot on the board for a bit.....great surfer
These guys are unbelievable. I can't even fathom what they do. I'm watching Kai take these waves, barely keeping his balance on the board and just charging it. I have much admiration. These guys (and gals) are brave.
The entire globe is in a panic and yet surfing has never looked so good, thanks to terrific footage by Kai Lenny and a handful of others! But Lenny is bringing the heat 24/7, and it's mas apreciado!
There’s so many different levels of being fearless. I once tried to save a kitty from being hit on a highway. Not quite the same as surfing nazare. Epic job Kai. Stay safe so we can always watch these vids 👍

That has to be one of the most majestic moments that I've yet to experience surfing or skimboarding hopefully one day. That barrel was so incredible the structure behind the wave was insane
1:27 the board taking a whipeout is really impressive stuff, I don't think I've seen a POV of that so great before. I hope you're getting paid by GoPro for this, cause if you're not, you should definitely contact them! :D

Perserverence pays. How many tube rides do you see at Nazare? That one was a wonder. Taking the risk and beating of a cold water hold down to find the take off that will put him in the barrel. Gargantuan kudos Kai, but i suspect Fame and Glory are secondary to the few seconds of infinity you find in your breathable blue water bliss..
You know what this guy inspired me to surf the biggest wave of my life and I can’t believe he paddle out and catch a huge wave without the jetSki help but he did used it a bit but you know what’s the craziest about all of this he did a barrel inside a wave which I thought was never possible but Kai did the impossible thank you.
