How far down from ridge should i install attic fan. What temp should thermostat be set at in the hot deep south. I have a car port, so my roof extends about 12 ft out from my insulated living space. Both ends of roof have gable vents. Should i put attic fan in the center of the entire roof including carport or should i center it over the living space only.
they should be atleast 18 inches from the ridge and it will be best to keep it on the center of the roof dont go less then 18 inches because wind blown rain can go in the fan from the other side of the roof
