Vocalist high falset is only common thing with King Diamond and partially he sounds Kai Hansen. They do catchy songs with their own style. In fastest songs there is also some Black Metal elements.
Beware of the headless rider!!! The look reminds me a tradicional black metal band but the sound is a totally diferent , Nice band, they are doing a great job, a job that's almost forget!!!!
Glad they are influenced by King Diamond yet I hear allot of their own material as well in the passages. Yeah I hear a few pretty oops moments do consider they are a fairly new and young band playing a larger open air venue...that can cause all sorts of miscues nervousness etc.. They kept their courage and energy up for the metal heads out in the crowd so way to go Attic !
As you said, some oops, but overall this is so satisfying to listen to, the ideas, the vocals, the commitment in heavy metal music is something I can hardly find in any other genre.
Hat sich in der 7. Klasse schon Meister genannt.... Kaum einer ist sich so treu geblieben. Ich feier das hart!!! Liebe Grüße Mario (Meister Cagliostro) .... vom GA.
I don't know if Kim Bendix Petersen should be happy or pissed off at this.......I'm kinda indifferent. It's ok but the musicianship is quite a few notches below anything Mercyful Fate or King Diamond put out. But this is not bad by any means.
Gosh!!! Some potential, at least from the singer. But the need to go home to learn to primarily tune their guitars. Then after that they need to practice (learn?) a lot to play their instruments.
Interesting band. Thx for the upload. Of course early Mercyful Fate comes to mind (so long ago...). Except that the 2 guitarists are just not up to the level, their rather limited left hand technique (tense fingering, squeaky nervous vibrato, lack of precision) shows that they are constantly at the max of their technical capabilities, the solos are really unimaginative and sound very much like the kind of sloppy basic pentatonic box stuff a beginner would play when trying to play fast (I've been there... ^^) and the music feels like a struggle instead of having the haunting quality of a Michael Denner/Hank Sherman exchange. They should decide to either play interesting slow compositions... or get new axemen.
He does a very good impression of King, I'll give him that. But it's ultimately just an impression. The singer doesn't have his own identity. The music ain't bad, but the whole thing comes across as a tribute act. By the way, King is 63 years old. The singer from Attic is probably in his 20s - of course his voice is in better shape than a man in his 60s. But King still sounds pretty good live. His wife only sings the harmonies.
Have to admit when we went to see King the last few times it was upsetting seeing his wife there doing what seemed like most of the singing. None of us will spend money on him again
Very clumsy guitar and drum work I like some of their songs that's a given but they are like a very trashy Chinese copy imitation King Diamond tribute band this stuff doesn't even seem to be that original
