Marc at 4:40 your pal on the left goes right by you,, what are all your atv's and track systems. I am interested and would appreciate some dialogue. thanks in advance.
+Bob Smith My friend that passed me has the Tatou 4s tracks mounted on a 650 Brute . He has a lot more power then me and the Tatou 4s is a better track system.. I think ..Thank you for watching.
NoStuck Marc Cool, thanks for the info,, have you tried any other units? I am looking for a big quad with a track system. I now have a 500 Honda but know that it is a bit small and was thinking about going no less than 800cc,, do you have any advice?
+Bob Smith 500 Honda is a good quad . But I understand the need for more power. If you can go to local ATV rides you get a better idea and close up of all the different quads.
Thanks for giving a good example of quad tracking, its abilities and limitations. For we elderly types, it requires considerably less exertion than sledding. Quads don't get stuck as easily, but they can become very stuck too. Fuel consumption is at least 50% higher than on wheels. We've run an assortment of rigs from 500 Polaris, 700 Arctic Cat and Grizzly, and our current favourite - 1000 Arctic Cat. There is no such thing as too much power. The smaller machines do surprisingly well, but it bothers me to run them on the governor all day long.
Now thats why I drive a sled. lol No need for WOT all the time..and No need to back up and get a run for it.. YIKES!! So not getting tracks for the atv.. Snow shower anyone??
Hi was look at different video and found your. I like the your video. We just cannot seem to get outside the winter is bad here lol!! Have great day!! Check out our channel sometime if get a chance to!!
You're absolutely right you can get a very good used sled for that price. But if you can find a used set of tracks that properly fit your particular machine it is worth trying. Without having to buy the adapters is a big bonus. Different experience all together my wife really appreciates the smoothness versus a sled ride at the moment.
Those tracks are junk , the machine barely moved in deep snow , the snow bogged the machine down alot , those tracks are worthless , just put real aggressive tread on those quads and call it good , but when you got money to burn HELL burn it up , i ride on three wheels anyway .
Definitely more utility out of a vehicle that could never be here normally in those conditions. But being a guy that uses winter to haul loads of cargo and supplies into the backcountry I just can’t see ATV with tracks being able to keep up.
yes sugar snow sucks lol . but your right it does beat staying at home . there were quite a few good size (for us) snowdrifts off rock faces and such to play with.. and almost all good snow is just about gone in our neck of the woods .. tracks will be coming off this week :( and do a little TLC to the bike before spring starts
Sugar snow SUCKS !! ... But it sure beats stay'in home !! Dang, that's quite the bump you guys are hitt'in at the 3 min mark !! WOO HOO !! Man, that sure makes me miss my tracks and it looks some some awesome rid'in too !!
We're gett'in a ton of snow in our mountains, but the roads are closed - gated- & bare asphalt from the gate to the snow, so my track'in was done some time ago. Just finished my TLC & gonna be do'in my first Round Rubber Ride at the end of the week ... WOO HOO !! LET'S RIDE !!
Not saying that they didnt do great in the deep snow, but I really thought that they would have done a little better on the hills. I have got to get me some tracks for mine.
Thank you for the compliment Cubbeezx . It was very sugary snow. You're right we could barely walk on it in less it had been packed down. That has been about the deepest we have found around the city.
We've tried skis. The tracks have a bigger foot pattern versus the skis we've tried. For us it didn't it didn't work out very well. Don't get me wrong still a different type of fun.. That's all these tracks have been for us versus even a snowmobile just something different. And thank you for watching.
William Chap, no way there not heavy enough to sink through to get traction, that's how the tracks work, there super heavy, so when your stuck your really stuck lol but they usually have enough traction and surface area to crawl your way through almost all terrains
First belt lasted 10000 km. Retired the next one at 16000km when we finally replaced the clutch with a CVT Tech still going strong. Thank you for watching.
Looks like it, but the 4-wheel drive is essential. It is easy to get stuck even if in 4wd but the front diff. isn't locked. You'll even find that many will argue that the slight slippage that exists in the Polaris and Can-Am systems are a negative factor when pushing these rigs to handle the most extreme conditions.
