ATWT: Bob's Affair - The Aftermath (1990) Part 1 

One of all-time favorite "opening scenes"...this is when soaps were at their finest...some of the best acting around.

These were the good old days of soaps!

I've loved this opening sequence since I saw it on my aunt's tv screen back in the 80s. Jack Cortner who created this piece of music, should put every version of the song on CD. I like to call this the world revolving around the sun logo. You can see the sun shining on the top and right side of the world. I am guessing the sun was just to the right or upper right hand corner of the screen out of the picture. The World Turns On and On is the best As The World Turns theme! I love every version. I love the newer cymbol arrangement on the 1988 techno synthesizer version. I also love the electronic drum sounds at the end of the drum intro and at the end of the verses on the extended cut/end credit version. I often wonder how long the end note plays? The one part of the opening that looks odd is when the world is moving off screen on the left side of the tv screen and at the sametime the world is coming back on screen, so it looks like two world's colliding. I would've had the world go off screen completely and then bring it back on screen. Or maybe this was an editing of the animation?

Gold. I loved the fact they kept the opening sequence in. Who didn't like the spinning globe?

I didn't start "taking a peek" at as the world turns until the Lily/Rose storylines and henceforth. Who was Angel and what was that all about? Thanks.

Does anyone remember why Kirk and Iva broke up?

Bob & Susan would have been my favorite couple, BUT the annoying writers had to give in. These soaps were excellent and this show definitely deserved their Daytime Emmy.
