This is exactly the first thing I did when I fell in love with one of my friends in college, we were the closest in our circle and I just suddenly stopped hanging out with him because I also hated what I felt towards him, that's the first time I felt different about myself, i've been straight my whole life, now 5 years after I'm still dwelling to the same things, closeted and sad :*(
For those wondering; Yes, Van Hansis(Luke) IS GAY in real-life. He revealed that he was after ATWT ended, which is why he could easily play Luke. However, Jake Silbermann(Noah) IS NOT GAY in real-life. He confirmed in an interview that he's 100% straight and that playing a gay character was a real challenge for him but said that he's an actor who loves challenges and apparently conquered this one.
I know. That's the show that they put in ATWTs place? Terrible. Fun fact: The president of CBS (at the time) Les Moonves is married to Julie Chen. One of the original panelists of The Talk. I wonder why they canceled ATWT.....hmmm.
Noah and Luke would eventually find their way back to each other. That Reid story the last few months of ATWT was phony and did not ring true. Noah is the love of Luke's life.
I agree. I like to think, Luke followed Noah to LA (with Lucinda’s encouragement) and the two got together, married, and adopted a butt-load of kids. Lucinda (missing them terribly) decided to move her company’s headquarters to LA to be nearer to them and to help out with the kids.
sucks doesn't ......for me the guy I was into kinda had a feeling I was into him so he avoided me as well and it's funny right after I got over him ( after crushing on him for 1yr 1/2) he wanted to be my friend and be all cool about it.
I can sympathize with what he's saying every straight friend I ever had stopped associating with me because people thought the were gay too. They didn't have the backbone to say anything to stop the BS.
Ladissea, I must agree with the first part, though not so much on the acting. He probably overracts a bit because its a soap, but also because of his character. Luke has kept all of this in for a while now, and once he told Noah he liked him, wasnt just gona hold any of it back anymore, and just kept going on about all of it. Personally, I tihnk his acting is amazing! Especially in Part 177. Increditbly amazing!! :)
I like this pairing. Luke is sweet and forgiving but when Noah always got his way for ending the relationship after seeing Luke kiss Brian, Luke didn’t forgive him right away, he stayed uptight the entire time until they got back together.
Not to my knowledge. All My Children tackled it many times over the course of the show. The first major time was in mid/late 2000 when Erica Kane’s daughter, Bianca Montgomery came out as gay. She was the daughter of the star of the show so it was huge and even though they broke the glass ceiling with Bianca’s story, they also dropped the ball. The show caved to homophobes and religious zealots who demanded they not give her the same treatment as other characters. So non of the women she fell for ever worked out. However, she did share the first same sex kiss on a daytime soap opera with Lena. Bianca’s crushes: Sarah, Laura, Frankie, Maggie, Lena, Zoe, Reese, Marissa….non of them worked out. The closest IMO was Lena as the only reason the character left the show was the actress wanted off.
Luke and Noah are a cute couple and Luke is gay and Noah is gay and they are together and they are a cute couple Luke is gay and Noah is gay too lol Luke loves Noah
Ahh.. yeahh... well, it's very real story.. and it could be boring for gays but I guess should serve the best for straight and teens who want to know something more about gays... I kinda found myself many times in a situation when I didn't want to stay in a room with a boy or colleague or schoolmate, because I would simply go crazy jump at them and demand for sex :) yeah.. lovely times...
I never quite understood the big draw that Nuke got. I could never really get into them. But Reid and Luke were another story. So amazing together. So unfair that Reid died.
Luke and Reid were another story. A bad story. A poorly written story. A story with two characters who had zero chemistry together. A story that didn't work.
I'm sure that most people watching already know how Luke and Noah turn out together, so i just have to say, has Luke ever considered that Noah doesn't love him as much as he says, I mean, look at how into Maddie he SEEMED... just sayin...
