Not much has changed in 10-years of the ATX Multipress, until now!
We take a look at the revisions on the new, mark 2, ATX Multipress LMP-650.

I just wish they made the base wider so the bench was stand alone I think that would take this product to a whole next level and maybe offer the mounting hardware if you wanted it to be fixed for stability. Because the feet flair out anyway had they just inverted them it would have occupied the same footprint but allowed the bench to be standalone. Which really takes this to a value price point that cant be ignored.

Such a wonderful design, I was so happy so see they also have a version of this coming out with a 115kg pin stack Lat pull-down low row. I have a few commercial machines but the new pin loaded Triplex with Leg attachment is going to replace my Lat pull-down/Chest Supported Row/Leg Extension/Leg Curl. Would only attempt this with ATX since IMHO they are the only multi gym manufacturer that truly does commercial quality

The 600-series is rated for home, but we've had the previous LMP in the gym for 6-years...they're that good. I'm loving that stack-weight Triplex, too. The lat pulldown/ low row was the cost-effective and weak link of the plate-load Triplex; so, while the stack-weight costs more, it is also better. It's a solid choice! :)

Same here with triplex! I asked them nevertheless to add a possibility for connection the two lever arms together like powertec (neck and calves training)

Thank you for posting this review. This machine looks impressive, and I really enjoy ATX products due to their great quality. Could you share your honest opinion on how this compares with the renowned Powertec Workbench Multi Press? Both machines are quite similar, designed for chest and shoulder pressing with CS-Row as a creative extra. Powertec's model has been around for many years without updates, yet it’s well-reviewed and popular in the US (lots of videos on youtube about this one), where ATX doesn't have much presence (this is the only video I could find of this new ATX Lever multi press machine). I understand that your perspective might be slightly biased since you sell ATX products, but I would appreciate your unbiased opinion. I’m currently not living in the UK, so your answer won’t influence my purchasing decision. I’m just curious. Thank you very much and keep those reviews of ATX products coming!

Hi John, thanks for your message and glad you like the review. The below article copied from Sam Lucas at Sam's Fitness in Australia tells you all you need to know. I once worked for a retailer selling Powertec and it is very good, I thought the Megatec multipress was better due to the seat adjustment alone. This latest ATX model is much superior again for all the additional functional tweaks. I hope this helps! :) Matt Post: www.thegymrevolution.co.uk/blog/2016/02/19/powertec-vs-megatec-review/

It doesnt come with the straight bar attachment?

Hi, I'd only suggest the straight bar (sold separately) for squats on their multigym unit. On this LMP-650, which only offers multipress, I'd consider the straight bar a waste of time - you'd be highly unlikely to use it. A locking iso-lateral/ bi-lateral pin would be a nice future addition though. Hope this helps :) Matt

@@gym_professor Thanks for the answer. I thought it was like the powertec multipress in wich you can do a close grip press. Still a very nice machine

Good morning. I apologize in advance for any mistakes, if any, I am writing through Google translator :). I have a question about the ATX LMP-650 bench. I would like to put it in the basement, which is only 155 centimeters high. Taking into account such a height, am I able to perform a shoulder exercise while sitting on this bench? I am 178 cm tall.

No, insufficient headroom I'm afraid. I think you'll need to be sat near the floor to press anything overhead with that height. Just factor no overhead work when training in the basement. Hope this helps! Matt
