This is the only black metal album I have on repeat nowadays. I remember when I heard black metal for the first time with Emperor, the sheer despair and ferocity enthralled me. This is exactly the same feeling. It is as if I was listening to black metal for the first time again. Hail Auðn.
The whole album is incredible. Lifvana Jord is especially amazing. I've kept trying to listen to other music since this album dropped, but I keep finding myself coming back to this. They also have one of the best live shows I've ever seen. It sounded just like the album, and I only wished I was able to understand well enough to sing along.
I played this once, and then immediately sought out and ordered the vinyl. Managed to get the blue one limited to 100! It was love at first listen: this is the black metal album I have been waiting for all year. My favourite in the genre since 2016's efforts from Moonsorrow and Mistur.
