Thank you for sharing your story, my wife and I just started the process of hiring an au pair. Tonight I watched about a dozen videos of folks who have had a bad experience with a HF. A few things stuck out with some of the other videos, HF not respecting the time of the AP, lack of communication between the HF & AP. Some of the other things I noticed were some of the HF not working on training/expectations with their AP. In my opinion, it will take a person a good amount of time working with the parents and children to get into a rhythm. The parents need to set the tone between the children/child and the AP. Where did you live? In which state. I’m actually in contact with a family from California, who has 2 twin kids (5 years old) and they speak Russian. I’m so afraid that’s this family 😥

Hello, Do you know of a site, forum, blog or the like to collect testimonials from Au Pairs who have gone to the Carnagie family (only the father with two young children aged 7 and 5) in Minnesota USA? Girls are not respected, poorly paid if at all and ..... maybe even more serious. I would like to be able to protect my grandchildren (my daughter is deceased) and "stop" this exploitation of girls who are only objects for some. Thank you.
Thank you for your comment. Unfortunately I do not know any forum like that, but I know that there are a lot of girls on RU-vid who shares their experience of being Au pair.
