Some people on the Bitwig Reddit wanted to know how to recreate the colorful Ultracomb by ‪@au5music‬ in ‪@bitwig‬ . Since we have an All-Pass device available, we can skip one step. We could also just use the frequency split device, but what do I know.

when i saw the ultracomb video yesterday i was going to recreate it in bitwig myself but then i thought: "polarity will probably do it soon enough" lo and behold...

Usual excellent standard! One point though *The simple 'delay' (any of the delays) in GRID are only restricted to as low as sample rate if there is a feedback loop patched.

I was going to mention this. But only the long delay is restricted to go only as low as the buffer size and then only when it is in a feedback loop. All other delays will work as indicated, even when they are part of a feedback loop. The thing is that the long delay is the only module that allows feedback routing.

Well... it's kind of close what Au5 at the end. Method is the same but his result is better. Sorry but it's a truth. But your work is a good starting point for sure!

Recreated it in Fl Studio, stock plugins worked well but MPhaser produced a nicer result (with 100 poles). For the most part you can just stack the "ultracombs" in series, keeping similar parameters the same value for tighter resonances, aswell as changing some of the parameters for a more complex filter shape over time (starts to sound too messy after a certain point). Aslong as you ensure that all the plugins/disperser keep the frequency content the same ( i think Au5 already mentioned that some phaser plugins will still have feedback, dry send, freq lfo, regardless of parameters) , should be a perfect recreation in any DAW.
