I totally understand her! She wanted the man, the security, the ring, the marriage, the home, and the kids... there is absolutely nothing wrong with that because every woman wants it. It’s pressure when you are in your 20s, aren’t these two in their mid 30s??? Time freaking flies, you either know you want to be with someone or you don’t. However, in this case I think BOTH of them have major issues. I know this is old and they didn’t last, but watching this you could see they wouldn’t a mile away.

When she said "saves the princess from the tower" Pauly's expression was exactly how I felt. Like...uhmm this isn't Shrek. He isn't a super hero. You need to lower your expectations a bit and realize that relationships aren't like that. She seems like she wants the idea of marriage more than a true, deep connection with someone. Marriage and having someone isn't about being 'saved'. It's about getting to know a person to their core and learning what it means to truly understand someone.

I understand both, I remember this episode well, they are just two different people. Aubrey honey you are not ready for a serious relationship. A man's job is NOT to save you. A man is supposed to be your partner, your companion and complement your life. Your the one who should save yourself and take care of YOU first before anyone else. If you don't do that then nobody will. If you keep depending on a man to "save you" you will never be happy. Pauly D has a point. The want to compromise, get to that next step of commitment takes TIME. You must first lay the foundation if you want to build a STRONG house. That's the truth of the matter. If you rush in to it all you will only be in for a huge disappointment.

I’ve never liked Aubrey based off how she was portrayed through media, but listening to her here, I can’t feel negative about her anymore for this. She’s hurting. And she’s probably never processed any of that pain or hurt. What has happened to her or what she’s done. None of it seems processed. Realizing for myself that my own desire to be “saved” is coming from the abandonment I never faced, I hope she finds a way to cope and save herself before anyone can even begin trying to save her.

A week IS unrealistic. I’d say a year max is enough time to get to know everything about someone, go on a vacation, stay over a couple/days nights on & off at eachothers homes to see what your routines are like. if someone can’t figure out after a year of being together that you could get married, having a family with this person, etc then you have to have a SERIOUS sit down about what direction you each are going in life THEN see if that direction compliments one another. Otherwise it’s wasting eachothers’ time all for the sake of a good time. If one person knows that the other is looking for a committed relationship & that person isn’t looking for that, then they’re already at odds. Aubrey, you aren’t alone in the world when it comes to having gone through trauma in your childhood, but if you’re expecting a man to come in & save you & fix things because of what someone else did to you, then you’re going about it the WRONG way. Healing needs to come from the inside FIRST. Which means there are things YOU need to address for yourself first.

I think Pauly D Doesn’t really know what he wants and it takes a persistent woman to lock him down because he feels like if they are super persistent then he must need to be with them because he can’t seem to make up his own mind about what he really wants or needs. I hope he and Nikki works out.they are super cute together, But it almost seems similar to this situation which leads me to believe that Pauly D is his own worst enemy.

I don't get why everybody coming down on Aubrey so hard. She has issues with her self-esteem yes but a relationship is give and take. She doesn't want to waste time. Pauly is like "well let's see what happens if we work out then we work out, if we dont, we can just move on" but Aubrey wants to be loved the same way she shows love. It's a sad feeling when you feel like you always love people more than they love you.

From a guy's point of few, her saying, "I wanna be saved." So early on, makes you wonder if enough will ever be enough. If Pauley says, "Ok, I'll marry you." Right then and there, is that enough, or is she always going to want more.

when ur w/ a guy who actually WANTS to be w/u, u wont have to beg or deal w/ any foolishness like this. its obvious aubrey has felt unloved and is now looking for love in the wrong places. she has to earn to love herself, simple as that, then everything will work out in life

corsican lulu I know I feel bad for Aubrey it’s obvious she love Paulie more than she loves her and it’s like the Therapist and Paula are making her feel bad for having high expections aubrey basically doesn’t want to deal with bullshit and just be happy.
