Auckland CBD Crime Reduction: How more police will make a difference 

Why have we cut the support for homeless, mental health and food programs? It's almost as if these things are related. Put them in jail at the rate of $150k per prisoner per year seems like a stupid idea.

What can the Safety men do? Can they apprehend?

It will not work. I came to Auckland to learn the homeless and live their experience. The police, government and council have no idea and are not interested or committed to resolve this plight. I must say however that the police are doing a good job treating the homeless with as much respect as they can. All the fake police are just stormtroopers for the council. They lack empathy and are very very racist to the New Zealand citizens because most of the fake police are islanders or indian. They forget that those on the street are actual New Zealanders. They are not. If we want change then learn and understand and maybe we can find a real solution without taking away their basic human right.
