New Zealand was once a fantastic country Shame the govt didn't cap immigration still heaps of homeless out there failing hospitals roads schools etc it's not all rainbows
Don’t worry they’ve made sure there’s 100 empty busses just waiting at the bottom of queen st and moved all the car parks away so no one can work on the buildings without it being a massive hassle
..??.. it was bustling in the 80s there were movie theatres rightup Queen St.. from the Mercury to the St James, Civic and Odeon.. it took one bus to get there where now it takes three and twice as long duration.. we would go just about every week , Friday nights.. unfortunately its gone down hill.. no real incentive or attractions to entice me or to show my new family our old stomping grounds.. today, even worked in Albert St for five years early 2000s too.. ..too many road works has given the option and place a huge bypass..
I thought Auckland City Council disbanded around 2010? Isn’t it called Auckland Council now? Think I read from somewhere the current one is 7 city councils combined.
This date must be late afternoon on Sunday. I work in one of these buildings. Normal working day, this street is packed by office workers and tourists.
Auckland is a great city trust me. Heaps of different blocks and areas for food, shopping, art, beautiful waterfront. Don’t be put off by depressing peoples opinions it’s vibrant believe me
@@warbler1984 bro the food in Auckland city is amazing! Google “urban list - best restaurants in Auckland” their a two types of people in this world one sits around and moans about everything- the other goes out and lives life and it’s pretty good believe me 😂
Poor Immigration policy which cannot make immigrant stay longer, they all leave after they have permanent resident visa, plus the social welfare system is too kind to those lazy people don’t keen to work and criminal….lower salary but high living expense.. sorry to say New Zealand, I loved.
@@sickboy8682 you going to Australia is going to raise the intelligence in NZ & lower it in Oz.. soon as any1 sees your handle SICK BOY they want you to go to Oz so thank you for leaving.
First building made 1974 the other across the road dude sat at top round window with periscope and marked every ship that came in and send his men around town to mark up or down on the incoming competition."custom house".
@@dreidas7474 Dubai will run out of oil one day. I like the Emirati people and their culture. Singapore is nice and close to Malaysia 😂 but the society is too ridgid. But Auckland is not for everyone I take your point.
@@ir7174 with all the gang related crime, home invasion, and daylight robbery I don't think the tourism and expats would be lured to visit, gone are those days when NZ was once a safest and gentle people I've met the thought of it makes me sad
Council has changed the city. You can't drive up the main road anymore, you can't park on side of road, Wilson car parks charge like a wounded bull, ram raids and dead beats run the city, full of meth and homeless beggers, no one over the age of 30 frequents at night, (ones with money) sign of the times I guess
you got that right this city has changed so Dramatically but I'll still rather stay here then whangarei where i was brought up During the late 70s early 80s now that city is going down hill in Another couple of years Auckland will probably definitely fellow in whangarei footsteps.@nooneisrightallthetime-zv7hs
Which journalist license did you use to illegally publish these images of identifiable people and illegally recording without council and security permission, building owner permission?
