That was a fantastic review of Auckland, and spot on about accommodation. I was a bit embarrassed in Montreal when I just went to walk in to the botanic gardens and my partner pulled me back - it never occurred to me that entry wouldn't just be free! They're completely a community space here.
Thank you so much 😊 I wish things like gardens and museums were free in Canada like the UK & parts of NZ. I would happily pay more tax to have those things accessible to everyone.
Hi Britt. thanks again for taking us to the city of Auckland while we are in the comfort of our homes, i noticed also they have a tower same as CN tower in CA , but to honest CN Tower was amazing , Toronto Zoo was huge and great. NZ has beauriful places and would love to see them in reality . by the way are there any Canadian restaurants ? have u seen or had POUTINE in NZ ? or any Canadian dishes ? love to see more of your amazing videos me and your subscribers. Thank ❤ .
Thank you for continuing to tune in! The sky tower is much much smaller than the CN tower but same idea! I haven't been to the Toronto Zoo since I was a kid but would love to return sometime. We haven't found any Canadian specific restaurants but we did find poutine at sky city casino in Auckland! It wasn't too bad actually!
Hi Britt. if you could make a video on what businesses are profitable to open in Auckland wether fast food or restaurants franchise or any other businesses. and their approx cost . Thanks
At western springs near the zoo there is also MOTAT museum of transport and technology and MOTAT Motions Road - Aviation Hall. There is a free tram that goes between them . In summer the walk along the water front from the cbd to Mission bay/ St Heliers beach a good days outing with the Parnell rose gardens Kelly Tarlton's aquarium, cafes and bars and of course views over the harbor possible diversions. Walk one way and catch the bus back
Lovely! Thank you for the suggestions. We took the tram to MOTAT but didn't have time to check it out. If we're back in Auckland I'll check out your other recommendations 🙂
Really nice vid! Living in Welli now, but considering moving to AKL as it seems there are many more things to do either in the city and the outskirts, beautiful beaches whatever direction you go, and a $43 return ticket to Waiheke? That sounds really good!
It is a really great hub for exploring other parts of the north Island! I wouldn't choose it over Welly but I'm biased (Wellington is my favourite city in NZ!!!). The island ferries were a real treat. Traffic is an absolute nightmare though.
This is another very informative video! Could you please elaborate on the last Airbnb you were staying at. It was fairly central, downtown and had a wall mounted power consumption/usage meter. The name address, and how much per night you paid. I'm toying with plans to do a return visit, I've tried searching through Airbnb but haven't been able to find an as nice of one in the CBD at a decent price. Save for hostels, and no thanks.
Here's the Airbnb tour I did for the downtown stay! We did a 28 days stay and Airbnb gives a nice discount for monthly stays so it worked out to $54 CAD/night. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-pvavH9OeI0M.html This is the Airbnb link to the accommodation. air.tl/ccXzlijB
@brittanymorgan09 Thank you very much! Were Kym to put photos of the suites view, I would have recognized it from your videos. Excellent location between Queen and Albert, close to Auckland Art Gallery plus the {Maritime Museum, did you take it in?}
@brittanymorgan09 That's great, and as mentioned by another. The M.O.T.A.T., plus and especially if you can get on board the steam engine. They only pull it out occasionally, and there's seating for about 6-8 adults. I was fortunate enough to have been able to be one of the fortunate passengers. It's noisy. steamy hot, but well worth the experience! Also, once at the M.O.T.A.T. you have to take the brief steam train ride, in an antique passenger rail car, around the perimeter of the facility, both ways!
That's awesome, I hope you have a wonderful trip!! The Auckland Zoo was amazing, definitely on par if not a bit better than the Calgary Zoo. Really cool to see a Kiwi and they have it laid out really well!
