The 39mm with center seconds is ref:15300. I was wondering if you had any QC issues with the white paint on the sub-dial hands? I've heard of/seen a few defects.
Ma786sai Dua a tremendously beautifully done review in every respect. My question to you is are the 3 and 9 sub dials the same size? The sun dial at 3 looks larger than the one at 9 o clock. To my eyes the 3 o clock sub dial looks a bit larger than the 9 o clock sub dial. The sub-dial at 6 of course is smaller. I’m referring to the size of the 3 and 9 dials where the 3 o clock dial strangely does look larger than the one at 9. I would imagine 3 and 9 would be exactly the same size.
I have the 39mm version and have owned it since 1999! I take exception to your negative comment about the bracelet quality, construction, that it's subpar. Except for the clasp the construction is the same and I have never had a problem with the clasp itself. I would ask that you address this clasp issue and explain your comment. Comparing an AP to a Rolex bracelet is apples and oranges, especially the old hollow bracelet segments, the new ones are certainly much higher quality than the old, but still not up to AP standards.
AP is definitely a step above rolex however, I have never been able to get a perfect fit with the 38mm, the 39mm, the 41mm. The bracelet needs updates in the clasp like the VC offshores that allows quick expansion for heat swelling etc. AP is far behind in terms of that and that’s not an opinion, it’s a fact.
Comparing this to Rolex is beyond my understanding 😆 On one hand we have masterpiece by a genius designer and a level of finish that is nothing short of perfection and on the other hand we have a bunch of shiny wrenches that feel more at home in a tool box at a workshop.
Ma786sai Dua magnificent truly a Grail piece. I have many watches. Including a 18 ct solid gold Rolex Cosmograph Daytona Ref 115628 a 2006 D Series. With the black dial and 8 diamond-dot hour markers. Of late I’m delving into the AP Royal Oak Chronograph especially the ones from 2012-2018. Mulling adding one to my collection. God willing it shall transpire.
I agree, I don't hate Rolex it is well made and well designed brand watches, but AP is really sexy watches brand, the one that I can't digest is Patek Phillp, it is ugly and over priced for nothing
BLUF: Yes, AP is better not a fair comparison. The Daytona has popularity and every watch collector seems to wants .... but which watch is better, inside and out, its AP. Not even a fair comparison
Had multiple AP RO and ROC in the past. They are not real sports watch, try going to play 18 holes with it. Rolex blows this out of water overall not even close. Good luck servicing it too. Lastly, 26315 are readily available throughout, two boutiques have reached out and offered it.
Shadi Magdy i highly doubt it. AP has went up on all modelS on the second hand market. Eve the 35 and 36mm old vintage variants have sky rocketed. Also maybe in the retail world 38mm isn’t so popular but my Everyone know 38mm in AP wears larger.
@@WatchDisplay i reserved one and the boutique called and now that the watch is here I am having second thoughts mainly due to what I just told you. I will be paying 27.kK for this one with taxes and I thought if I want to sell it again later I will be lucky to get 21 for it.
Unfortunately most people can’t try on this 38 and 41 to compare at the same time. 38 wears like a 40 as you can see from this video. Nicely compared to a common 40 Rolex. 41 wears like a 43 from personal experience. This 38 looks perfect on approx 7 inch wrist. Guys with bigger than 8in would probably like the 41 size best.
@@shadimagdy8196 I would never bet against any blue dial ap royal oak appreciation. Like a wouldn’t bet against any blue dial pp nautilus appreciation. If you love it, I hope you bought it. That’s mainly what matters.
