Dude. Just wanna let you know that you're the man. Love your content. I think if you keep going your content will only get better. You already convey your thoughts clearly and concisely and make very valuable technical observations with every product. If you keep making progress with your channel you definitely have the potential to be big.
thank you for the kind words. honestly, I am not sure. You should be able to find power ratings. I have to say, any planar magnetic, I would be much more comfortable with a more robust amplifier.
Great review as usual. I liked the comparison with the Verum 1. What are the games you have been playing lately and what's your go-to game for sound testing ? Happy holidays man, wish you the best and can't wait to see what's to come for you next year!
thanks for the support! right now i personally am pretty hooked on Tarkov. i don't really have one go-to, as patches and updates can alter game sound drastically. i try to use a spectrum of games; tarkov, PUBG, BFV, Apex, COD....
I own this, but not for gaming though just casual music listening. Yeah build quality is superb. In terms of build quality.. they are definitely justify to their price tag. Sound wise.. kind of hard though.. anyway at this price range..most Headphones doesn't improve that much. All base on your listening taste. I've rolled pads on this to Dekoni Elite Velour. It so much better..not so dark anymore.. still have that Audeze lush bass present and mids.. now you can actually hear highs and resolution. I've also added fazor.. higher accuracy on imaging.. well stage .. I'm not too much worry about it.. coz this thing sound huge... And immersive. Cant get from others. Great headphone imo.
Using LCD-2C for gaming for a few months and to be honest they are way to heavy for extended use. Imho design of the headband is not the best solution, you can really feel the weight on the top of your head after 1-2 hours. I was also using Focal Elear which has similar weight but it distributes diffrently and works well for hours. But they sound really great, they're so relaxing. I'm thinking right now about LCD-1, hope they'll keep iconic planar sound and they weights half of LCD2-C.
There is a lot of subjective here but, I agree - big planars are heavy. I am fortunate that my head/neck actually do not get bothered with them, even after a 6 hour session. VERY subjective though and i can see how they would bother many folks. the elear is actually more bothersome for me, as oval shaped cups tend to grab me between the ear and neck and even though its lighter that spot is problematic for me, so i couldn't really handle extended use of them. i think i am in the minority there though. i did like their sound a lot. check out my review on the lcd-1. i love planars but do not recommend those for a lot of reasons! thank you for taking the time to comment. i always appreciate feedback.
@@gamingaudioguide9292 If LCD-1 are what you say they are that's a bummer. Can you recommend any particular alternative for LCD2-C? I really like the softness and darkness in these headphones but unfortunate I have this issue with weight. btw recently bought DT990 for no reason, god these headphones are terrible. Every shot from rifle is like nail in my brain :D
@@xXPoGoPLXx lol. the two headphones that give me immediate, physical pain from treble are the dt990 and the hd700. the lcd2-c is a pretty unique animal and going to be tough to replicate closely. the closest thing that immediately jumps out is the sony mdr z7. similar pads, similar dark signature yet very resolving. MUCH lighter. has two issues of it's own though. closed with those stock pads make my ears pretty hot, pretty fast. also if you don't swap to a perforated pad, the upper bass bleeds into the mids.... if you swap the pads, bass is fixed, heat is fixed but then pads are not as plush/soft as stock (like lcd2c) and you loose some bass extension. r70x is similar in signature but build quality is not near as nice and it lacks the overall resolution and detail of the other two.
I find these comfortable as well. Pretty subjective though. The heavier Audeze headphones like the LCD3, I do find way too heavy and uncomfortable but I know they don't bother some.
