Quick clip I threw together of my 1991 Audi 200 testing the launch control/anti-lag feature and some other footage for fun.
Mods:
Stock block/head with 300k+ miles
Garrett/034 K26/GT3076r
7A camshafts
VEMS EMS from EFI Express . com
Siemens Deka 870cc injectors @ 3bar base pressure
ClutchNet red pressure plate with 6 puck disk
Stock transmission
Stock intercooler
Tune to 23psi on E85 fuel.
3" turbo back exhaust
034 engine and transmission mounts
BBS RK 17X8 ET35 wheels
General Exclaim UHP 225-45-17
Suspension IS NOT STOCK OR WORN! Custom coil-over suspension was assembled by me for this car and I am testing and tuning. The setup for this video clip includes:
Eibach 550LB rear 2.5" X 6" springs
Eibach 450LB front 2.5" X 6" springs
Hyperco take up springs front and rear
Sitting on stock valved Bilstein sport struts front and rear
All new bushing and control arms
The struts need to be valved a bit stiffer to help with the squattro action however weight transfer isn't a bad thing.
Filmed with a Canon EOS 5DMKii and a Canon EOS 7D using a 35L and 85L lenses.

My goodness, this is amazing. The rev limiter... the whine of the turbo spinning up... the 'pssst' on the change up. And people say turbos sound boring!

I had an i4 NA screamer, now I have an i5 turbo. I kinda do and don't miss the throttle response. The unexpectedness sometimes of turbo power gives it just as much character and maybe even more of a mind of it's own you gotta work with. And the sound.. The 4 cylinder turbo's nowadays sound shit, so do BMW's V6 and V8 turbo's in their M cars. Which seems completely unnecessary when you hear what AMG and Audi pump out of their 8 cylinders and we all know how good RB26 and 1/2JZ's can spound.

They selling in audi ttrs, 2.5 tfsi. Nice, powerfull engine, but it's not the same nowadays. 2.3 NG, 2.2 20vt... They do big mistake rejecting l5, audi's icon, like quattro...

kvzsbt Audi TT RS , Audi TT RS Plus, Audi RS 3 the old gen and the new gen... they all have I5 turbo and they all have above 300 hp and quattro.

My 200 20v avant has close to 485k miles and still runs like a champ (modded too). Just watch for rust! My rockers are on the driver's side are not looking good after decades in salt belt..

~400awhp but I have not had it on a dyno yet. It runs 11.94 @ 115mph with the clutch slipping.

Wow.....just wow. That Audi 200 Limousine is very rare here in Austria, but its such a good looking car. Thats some brutal accelaration. I have an Audi 100 C4 S4 with 350HP. Too bad my Turbo didn't make it xD Inline 5cyl is probably one of the best engines ever made. Glad that there are still fans of the old Audis out there :)

@@MDDeGrande1994 I had the UrS4 (which is just called S4 in europe). 230HP was standard but with different software I managed to get 350HP, too bad that the mileage was quite high so the turbo didn't make it and got damage although it should at least make 400HP on stock internals

I think MDDeGrande1994 is confused by your quoted power figures. There’s no software available to squeeze that kind of power number from a stock K24 turbo unit without some extremely exaggerated marketing fluff. I do agree with the best engines ever made though :)

How much HP are you making at the crank? I have a 20vT AAN S4 myself. 20valves are a contagious "disease", especially when you start tuning it. :)

amdisthebest could you please tell what is the exhaust setup that you have? i want to straight pipe my car and would like to achieve this sound of yours, how many elements did you remove from your exhaust system? I have a catalytic converter and two more muffler pieces. I was wondering if i take all that off will it be too loud maybe? Thank you.
