I don't have 'phone apps' on my touch screen. I have used the Sat Nav from my phone, but can I get the phone app set to my touch screen on the car? I find the sat nav difficult each time i try to use it.
Looking at the Audi configurator it says phone apps come as standard. You need to plug your phone into your car with a USB cable. If it is an iPhone it should bring up Apple CarPlay automatically. If it is an Android phone you will have to download Android Auto from the Google Play store. Then you will be able to use the maps from your phone on the car screen.
Hello, if I got the tech pack with the wireless charging would I still get Apple play without plugging it in, or would I need to plug it in? Not sure whether to add the tech pack or not. Thankyou
In the UK where I am based there doesn't appear to be a separate tech pack. If you want the largest interior screen you have to select the Vorsprung trim level which upgrades the display from 8.8 inches to 10.1 inches. If you tell me where you are based I am happy to have a look for you but my suggestion would be to take the tech pack anyway as if you do want to use wireless Apple CarPlay or Android Auto you will need your phone to be charged to stop the battery from running down on longer journeys.
Thankyou, I’m based in England and have ordered the s line sport back coming in March, I have the sound and comfort pack and reversing camera, but not sure whether to add the tech pack, because Apple car play comes as standard so was just wondering if the tech pack is worth it, as when I plug my phone in I will get sat nav so I won’t need the Audi sat nav, it’s just the wireless charging idea I like, I won’t need to plug my phone in to use Apple car play because it will charge using the wireless port. Sorry I hope this makes sense 😂
I had a look on Audi UK configurator and it doesn’t show a tech pack at all - I don’t know why the website is different from what your seeing; that is a bit strange. But what I said is still the same I would recommend getting the tech pack anyway as the wireless charging is useful to have as you said (depending on the cost of course). My feeling about new cars is if you don’t spec what you want you will probably regret it as your spending so much on a new car anyway (but I know there is the reverse argument of saving as much money as possible!).
@@ann-mariewest5612 I have the S Line 35 TFSI in Turbo Blue. I have the tech pack and it is very good. I can have maps on both displays. It’s easy to use. You will love it.
