Picking up the CLA in July!

The CLA puts a smile on my face every time I get into it. I'm so glad that I bought it over the A3.

Id buy the CLA just based on its looks, yes im materialistic but dammmmmmn its so sexy,

Comparing sport suspension vs a standard suspension, then awarding points to the standard for being more comfortable... professional way of reviewing a car. How about you compare standard with standard and Merc AMG line with Audi S line ? At least we would have gotten a bit wiser from that.

Considering they dont sell the cla 200 in the states. Only the cla 250. I think its better and more affordable then the A3

A3 any day of the week. I'd pick another color tough, Daytona Gray for instance.

Really laughing when they compare the exterior. YES the CLA has more lines & is supposed to be more stylish. THEN AGAIN, the CLA is equipped with the AMG bodykit & the Audi is just standard, no S-line kit. Compare apples with apples pls. I think the A3 looks fabulous with the S-line kit. Even the xenon headlights with dayrunning LED's weren't included here... Zzzzz

Here in Germany the cla sold much better than the a3, i'm going to get one after graduation

I've seen and read every review and comparison of these two cars out there. The A3 destroys the CLA in every single one. Can't wait to take delivery of mine this week!

Comparing an full option Mercedes against an entry level A3. At least select the complete s-line package and nicer color to compare. This is just bullshit. Both great cars but with decent options the Audi drives way better. I had em both as company cars.

Even if the ride and interior is nicer in the Audi it's not THAT much better, I just can't get over how ugly the Audi A3 is, I have this exact cla, same color, rims, and interior and people think it's a $60,000 car, the a3 doesn't make an impression whatsoever.

I drove both these cars before I bought the CLA. Had a stage 3 tune done to it and throttle response is amazing. Also put the wide body kit on it and rear spoiler. Looks way better than a3. Suspension is stiff in sport mode but rides nice in comfort mode. There is a lot more road noise in it than the a3 though but the radio blocks it out nicely.

Buy an A3 if you wanna pampers yourself. Get the CLA if you wanna impress others but not yourself. I had test drive both. CLA drive is awfully uncomfortable. The A3 has better driving comfort while still fun especially with instant power with its STronic gearbox. Bring your parents on the CLA and they will shout at you for making them dizzy. Haha...

Not really a fair comparison. Amg line cla vs the most basic a3 saloon you can get. Get de S3 trim or at least an S line, then we'll talk

CLA will turn heads, but what about resigns. To me i think the Audi is classic and will still look elegant 10 years later. I do own an Audi A3.

i am so happy, this is the 3rd review of comparaison between the two cars and Audi A3 won them all. i got the Audi A3 as a company car but they are giving me the option of changing to the CLA if I want too but I really feel in love with the lloks of Audi which for me looks classy in its simplicity where the CLA looks a bit much and ''show off'' but mercedes been mercedes I was worring of making a mistake and missing out on the experience but after all I aint missing anything, the AUDI A# is exactly what I need and what suits me

The anti clockwise thing is something everyone always mention when talking about the audi mmi, i did also in a more negative way but once i got my audi i got used to it within a few days and actually like it. I understand why they do it design wise. Believe me, it wont bother you one bit within a week of driving.

AUDI is what you want

Give me the Audi any day over a Mercedes. I have seen in the flesh one of those A classes and the build quality is down right atrocious in places especially given the price tag. Scratchy, hard, flimsy plastics and cheap feeling switch gear, the finish on the carpet in the boot is not much better than my mates fiesta. As an owners of a MK7 golf, I think my interior feels plusher than the mercs. The A3 is simply stunning. The Merc isn't German enough for me. I buy a German car for its quality but also understated Teutonic design and mercs look oriental, Asian looking now, a German pointed that out to me. I admire Audi an VW's "function, then style it) approach. The mercs boot is bigger but that opening at the lip is ridiculous. Also, the British police had to get rid of their fleet of E classes because of reliability problems, replaced them with Audis, and also Merc use Renault sourced diesel engines. Really don't know what they are playing at these days.

These people must have been paid buy Audi to give these comparisons. The audi looks like a jetta first of all, the Mercedes has different modes to drive in, which they didn't even go over for faster acceleration, and also for different drive styles, like the comfort mode which gives you a VERY smooth drive.
