That 1st little tidbit alone "this is not in the manual" is worth the price of admission! caught in the rain I could not lift the roof out of the boot with all my strength. After pulling the key and holding the button down for 10 seconds, it lifted easily. You sir are a PRO!
Best damn close an A4 Roof video I've ever seen.... detailed, real time and I didn't know the 10 second bit... Thank you. (2004 A4 Cabriolet, USA model)
You are an absolute Diamond and with your valuable help I managed to sort it out all on my own 😁.I had tried with a previous video which came up first but yours included the crucial hydraulic release information which did the trick and was able to close, lock and the dashboard ‘soft top not secure’ button went off too ! Many thanks 🙏
The best how to close roof on an A4 cabriolet video on RU-vid. Very clear and easy to follow and the open the windows and remove key, 10 seconds press to release the Hydraulics was a genius. Thanks for posting this.
The switch was key to this for me. My cover would not release even after 24 hours of waiting, held the switch for 10 sec and the cover released immediately. THANK YOU!
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us! You should give classes in how to create helpful videos - you get right to the point, clearly show what to do, explain briefly and so easy-to-understand. No gratuitious music, needless patter, begging for likes, etc. Can't thank you enough - wishing you continued great success!!
I went through many videos that did not help. This one is great and full of tips and nuances i.e. release the fluid by pressing the button.. Worked great!
Brilliant presentation, roof malfunctioned in the open position, I followed the Audi manual to close the roof but could not lift out the roof. But after your recommended 10 sec pressure release it lifted out like and dream and closed. Thanks
Thanks very much--from here in Australia--this video was such a lifesaver today. I don't think I would have been able to get it done (winding it back down and then closing up manually to reset the sensors) without your clear descriptions, clear camera angles, and the "not in the manual" tips. A lot of the steps required a lot of force, so it was vital to know I was making the right move so that I had the confidence to give it the necessary grunt--otherwise I would have been unable to get the mechanisms to move for fear of breaking something. Thanks again. (For those wanting to do the whole back down and back up thing, it might also be useful to also view Mathew Brenengen's video, because he does that whole process, but I also needed the clear detailed demonstrations given in this video to know fully what to do, particularly with that tool.)
Thanks a million. Your video was an absolute godsend. I m extremely grateful to you for posting this. You saved me a lot of stress and I can still drive my car until I get it fixed. Sending love and hugs to you xx
Hello! how are you? This is a really helpful video. I also have another issue, because the key once is " locked" does not move any direction. It is seems that is fully stuck the mechanism. I tried to use WD-40 but did not work either. Do you have any other idea? THANKS in advance!

Thank you - this was invaluable just now - the whole closing the roof moved about an inch then stopped! It didn’t get past that point. This video helped close the roof manually - amazing. Thank you!
My rear lid will not open. I turn the key counter clockwise and hear the thunk sound. The rear of the top folds forward, but the lid will not open So frustrating. Any advice? Thanks!
Mines stuck in the down position. The lid is locked on passenger side but unlocked and open on the drivers side. The manual mechanism won't unlock with the key. Any ideas?
Hi on my roof it all works ok but when the roof is going down it gets stuck hafe way up if I push it it will work was just wondering if you could help me with what it is thanks

Arek W Hi Yes you will need to have roof open with storage lid also open Email me through the site and I will send you instructions to remove rear panel
Alison Lee Good question, a lot of people refer to this as a manual reset, if your roof has had a fault and gone out of sync, closing it up correctly as per the video to a recognised position will get it working However the root cause of the original issue would need to be addressed or the issue will occur further down the line
My roof is inside now...i tried to put it in. Everything fine but as i closed it the one side is close now and the other side is still open. Now notging work !
@@giorgosserresg4383 hi, I am sorry but we do not understand what you are stating Inside ? Is the roof open or closed ? If one side is still open then you possibly have a fault
@@CabrioletTech thanks! It stopped beeping now, but now when I try to take the roof down, only the windows roll down. I took it down and back up a few time and still the same result, any idea what it is?
after looking carefully at your video I have spent an hour doing it please tell the ladies that offering up the weird screwdriver thing and licking it’s positioned it takes a lot of muscle to turn it slowly I am 79 years old!! But thanks
What do you have to do to get a manual variant according to an online they don't even exist. And at the very last minute while he ended the video I looked over and saw the shifter I want the car in this video.
