The factory Audi radio would turn on with the car off and turn itself off in 1 hour to prevent battery drain. Aftermarket radios do not have this feature. If you use the Enfig SRWH the radio will turn on with the car and turn off when you pull out the key not when you turn off the radio.
I meant always use the screws that come with the Pioneer radio. Our kits come with the side brackets and the screws in a separate bag. You will need the side brackets to install the radio. Call us if you didn't receive them.
I own a 2006 Audi S4 B7 Avant with the 10 speaker Bose system. the speakers themselves still sound absolutely fantastic but I would like to add either a couple of 12in subwoofers to the equation or at least one 12in subwoofer.. with that of course it means I will be adding a separate amplifier to power the sub or subs.. and I'd also like to add an aftermarket deck similar to this pioneer since I don't have Bluetooth capabilities at the moment. Can I accomplish everything I'm looking to do without affecting my Bose speakers in the car? like many others of course I want to make sure the steering wheel still controls the volume in the track of whatever I'm listening to as well.
Or I'm completely fine with sticking with the stock deck so long as it has the option for me to add a Bluetooth connection to it? I would also only be willing to use the stock deck if it allows me to run a separate amplifier that will power my subwoofers if I can do those things and I'm perfectly fine with keeping the stock deck it's not a bad unit at all and aside from wanting to connect a subwoofer and not having Bluetooth I'd be willing to stick with it
I installed a new radio in my 02 a4 and everything works perfectly. The only problem that I am having is that the radio stays on after i turn off the car and pull the key out. Is there any quick fix for this?

After searching, I am still confused about the operation of the ignition wire. I have recently upgraded to an pioneer avh-1500dvd........The original stereo automatically turned on when the key was turned and off when the key was removed. In addition, I could still use the stereo when the car was off and the key was removed from the ignition. Is there anyway I can use the stereo without the key in the ignition and still have it turn off and on automatically with the start/stop of the car?
I have an 06 Audi S4 i has the Bose system i want to replace the head unit on it. I keep hearing about the ohms being too low and doing so it will damage the speakers or even the cars computer. Do you guys have had any issues like this or do ur harness takes care of the issue?

I have an oem euro nav that was used on an A4 in the US that was given to me for my Allroad. Is the process of installing similar to this video if I have OnStar and the Symphony sound system? Also are you aware of if the toggle next to the hand brake is only for the center display unit in the instrument cluster or if it is also tied in to the system that controls a OEM navigation unit?

When going to remove an installed unit with this kit, how do I pop out the trim piece to get to the copper tabs without snapping the trim piece in the process? I feel like if I pry on it the tabs are going to snap
I have never had a tab snap. With that said if you go out to your car and it's 20 degrees outside and try to pop off the cover it will probably snap. As long as the plastic is not cold it will not snap.
Please help! I have a 02 Audi w Symphony but not Bose. I ordered a new amplifier and 2 door speakers and a brand new headunit. What cords do I need to connect the speakers to the amp and the amp to the radio. Should I completely eliminate the rear speakers and dash speakers?
I want this, I have a 2004 Audi A6 with Bose Symphony stereo. I want a set up where I can maintain control of radio with existing steering wheel buttons as well as the Sirius XM radio. Do I need anything extra or can I just hook up the Antenna to the stereo and receive the Satellite radio? I really don't know how the Sat radio works. Its the original stereo, I press Sat button under Tape and the radios number came up, activated and been using it since. I don't want to loose XM or steering control but want a nice touch screen radio since Audi Navi Plus modules cost around $1200
You need a new tuner but we have all the cables to use the factory Sirius antenna. Contact us for info on what you need for the A6 its a little different.
Hay. I tried to install a JVC KDX330BTS into my 2005 audi A4 (Symphony II) got it all wired and harnessed, minus the radio since i don't personally care for it, and the head unit wont turn on. The connections are solid so i'm lost on what could be wrong.

Enfig - Thank you for the tips. After drying out overnight, many of the cd player and radio functions came back. There are some strange quirks with the dash electrical system and monitors now that have me a bit concerned. Our single din dash kit makes single din radios look amazing but it does not work well with radios that have screens flip out. I'm not sure what you mean by 06841 steering wheel controls. Do you have a question about steering wheel controls.
I have a non bose system.. (Symphony) and had a avh 4200nex installed professionally but when I turn up the volume the sound cuts in and out.. Can it be due to a bad amp? I also read on a forum that the 2 channel amp is only for the rear speakers on a non bose and that the bose amp does 4 channels... Why would my speakers be cutting out?... 2002 b6 1.8t
The cage comes with its own tools to remove the radio. It's a little tight because of the cars opening but you can help it using some hook tools on the copper tabs.

If you did not buy our dash kit then the rest of the kits clip in and there is no way to remove the aftermarket radio without wrestling it out of the dash. You will not have that problem with our dash kit.

They all need the HILO but one some radios more than others. It depends on the output voltage of the RCA's. On radios with 2V outputs you can hear a huge difference. On radios with 5V outputs the difference is not that huge and you can probably do without but for a few dollars more for better sound I would still get the hilo for better sound.

If you are talking about a the tabs on the cage they can be bent back. But I recommend you contact us fora replacement. It makes the next install much easier.

Our kit does come with a cage. Some radios come with cages some don't. Out cake is smaller than the cage that comes with radio so if you use our kit you will not need the radio's cage.

In my 2001 it has 2 antennas connection but on the website it says it's not compatible with my year.
