Thank you! I really do love the sound of this system. No, back pressure is never a good thing. Even the slightest amount is putting strain on the engine. The downpipes only add about 8-12hp because they reduce back pressure. But the two biggest reasons for the downpipes are to remove the baby resonators (makes the exhaust sound better) and to replace the crappy OEM flex pipe section (high failure rate that sound like an annoying rattle). I did mine because I was replacing the stock cats and already had a full exhaust system. So it was the last piece of the exhaust system puzzle.

@@polymetrix8502 Typically yes. It’s also very noticeable just sitting at an idle.

They do not list the downpipes for the A6 3.0t, however, the downpipes are identical for the S4 3.0t. They fit perfectly.

You won’t encounter drone from down pipes, you will encounter it from the exhaust choice. I have a 16’ stage 3 Unitronic S5 with downpipes and full AWE track exhaust. The drone is rather horrendous. I can’t use 6th to cruise lol. I can send some videos if you’d like

You are correct! Absolutely love the Prestige trim level. I've test drove and rode in a lot of C7 S6's...other than the factory air ride there really isn't anything I'm missing out on.

No, there was a lot done to the car already at this point. You can see in the description all the modifications that were done at this point.

@@CobraG-CasinoMafia If you do not do all the general maintenance before starting mods the increase in power is going to escalate those problem areas. I made sure everything was done before starting mods.

No sir. The downpipes on the 3.0t are after the stock cats.

He has stock exhaust and any intake will give that sound with pulleys and down pipes stock exhaust

@@jesussavescars807 This is not a stock exhaust. This is with IE downpipe to full Magnaflow exhaust system.

This is with the IE intake and dual pulley setup. These two together will whine this loud. Exhaust has nothing to do with it
