Any intelligent individual, in their head, will realise that this discipline is all about tyres and weight. So if the Audi is heavier and has good tyres, it's logical that it will win... I own a Jeep that weighs 2800kg after modification and I have 3 locks so all differentials. No problem, I win in a tug of war over any Audi, Mercedes G, BMW... But I'd have to be as much of an idiot as the comments here to claim that Quattro or Xdrive is bad...... when my car weighs 900kg more All it takes is a 100kg difference and the heavier car wins... or the same weight and the difference of a premium tyre VS a budget tyre

Unequivocally incorrect. The higher rope has the advantage here, because the lower end on the Audi *pulls down* - aiding the BMW's traction. The back of the Audi is, consequently, being pulled up.

The bmw lost because of the tyres that are worse quality than the audi ones, but i have to admit that bmw has 50/50 power on both axles, due to the wheelspin. This test should be done with almost the same conditions. Thank you!
bmw has evidently worse tires and maybe even turned off traction control, so it is not objective, but generally audi has beter drivetrain system. But bmw are more fun in winter.
Once the coefficient of friction was reduced on the bmw (when the wheels started spinning(sliding friction))the Audi could easily pull it away. I’m willing to bet if the Audi started spinning first the bmw could then pull it away.

BMW is better than Audi at many things. Being famous for their phenomenal AWD system alongside Subaru is not one of them. Quattro didn’t even sweat. Love that E60 wagon though.
Yeah trash XD bmw rwd vs audi awd with quattro so... What is more, we dont know, what engine has got a6. Could be stronger than m57d30 from bmw. In My opinion, thats bad comparison.
@@iziwin4207 BMW is all-wheel drive, the same as Audi, you can see all 4 wheels spinning(smoke) trying to get traction. Audi has a 3.0 TDI engine, so pretty much the odds are even, and in this, the horsepower doesn't mean much as tires and drivetrain do. This just goes to show that Audi has a better all-wheel-drive system than BMW. But both cars are amazing.
@@TOGG1875 @TOGG1875 nahh, as i just said thats bad comparison. You are right with xdrive ( I didnt saw xdrive on bmw on his back, i thought that bmw is without xdrive and author made a mistake). I dont know how to say it that quattro is always Turned on, not like xdrive. Xdrive only works when you are losing traction, then front wheels will help u. Quattro works all the time.
@@fredrik1417almost 9 years ago i have the same Audi and measured on the scrapyard scale, the weight was 1820kg with 18inch wheels, half tank of fuel and some stuff in the trunk.
