This video goes over how I installed my rear spoiler from Maxton Design. Over all the process is super easy and just takes a little patience.
It was brought to my attention that the rear spoiler for the Q5 is actually different than the SQ5's is, so this spoiler will not work with the Q5.
My spoiler was used to I had to remove the 3M tape that was on there originally. I did a video on that and you can find that here:

The 3M tape that I used is called: 3M 03614

Amazing video! Never done this stuff before and now have the confidence to get it done. Out of interest how are they to remove? does the tape affect the paint underneath from your knowledge?

I was the same way originally, but after I got all the other pieces on there it just fit the look. I say go for it :)

@@MA-bq8yg So if you got the Q5 I don't think the rear spoiler works with it. Something about the SQ5 has a small dip in the spoiler itself and the Q5 is straight. Yes, I have the entire Maxton body kit. All the install vids are on the channel.

The eBay ones are still holding up just fine. I do think that the front and rear ring badges are OEM.

Great video! Thinking about this for my Azores green 2018 SQ5. Question: how did you paint the rear fake exhaust surround black? Did you have it wrapped? I’m about to blackout a bunch of the car and doing the rear bumper almost doubled the cost of the install. Wondering if there’s a better way

I just picked up one of these, but am noticing that it has poor fitment. There are slight gap across the entire spoiler. Is that how yours was? Do you have to heat the spoiler to get it to conform?

I didn’t really notice that with mine. I spent time really lining it up to be sure of where I wanted it to go. And most gaps would be held down by the tape.

I currently have a 2015 audi q5 sline. Do they make it for the non sq5s?

😈 maybe LOL. Getting oil change on Friday then I will work on putting the JB4 in. Little different than a full ECU tune though but good for like 70 HP…..supposedly

@@jordanlifejs it isn't needed so I won't be doing one. If I go full ECU flash (APR/Unitronic/ETC) later on then I would get one.

@@jordanlifejs 034 Motorsports as well as EPL offer ECU tunes as well as TCU tunes. If I was doing one right this second it would probably be EPL...I have heard really good things about it.

These maxton add ons are just about passable on black and grey cars. On any other colour car it literally looks like the car has been driven through halfords covered in superglue.
