Hi Mark, I'm so glad you and your wife test drove the e-tron and decided to order one, especially after owning a model S. It says alot about how good this Audi Electric vehicle is. Mine of course was delivered to me at the end of June 2019 and will soon be 3 years old. I've now put almost 90 KM (56,000 miles) and it runs like new! My range is pretty much the same as when I bought it. Last summer I drove my e-tron to Newfoundland on the farthest east point of North America. I often recieved 250 miles of effective range and twice I recieved 281 miles. I couldn't believe how my range was even better than when I first bought it. Your new 2022 will have a better epa rated range than mine however in my video I did say I chose the 19 inch rims with true summer tires so this helps. Hopefully you can go back to my RU-vid channel and check out the latest video of my record setting EV fast drive from St. John's NL to Victoria BC. I also want to say that I'm helping out a friend looking for a new EV. She has drove with me the Ford Mustang Mach E, Hyundai Ionic 5, and the VW ID4. What we noticed that none of these cars have the Air Suspension, Heads up Display, and so many other features only found on the Audi. I think Audi did a great job on their first EV and they will only approve. My friend has yet to try the new Audi A4 etron and she may go for that one if I have anything to say about it. Hi Harvey I watched almost all of your videos. Impressive to me was especially the winter drive. It looks like the e-tron is managing just fine in even harsh conditions. I also enjoyed the videos of Therese and you killing it down the perfect powder hills. Here in Switzerland powder was very rare this year, we barely got enough snow for skiing on the slopes. Hi Harvey So we drive the e-tron now since our delivery day in may. We are still very happy with the car and collected almost 10‘000 kilometers so far. The ride is very comfortable, and Alisa enjoys to drive it as much as I do. We don’t regret our choice at all. We spent 10 days in Italy this fall and had no problems with charging thanks to the great Navi and the Audi charging-service. The only downside is its thirst. So far we managed an average consumption of 23.2 kWh per 100 kilometer. This is significantly higher than our former car, the Tesla Model S (19 kWh per 100km). I saw in one of your videos that you guys spent some time in Switzerland this fall and rented an e-tron. I tried to rent an EV in the states for our January 2023 trip to southern Illinois but I failed to find an offer. It seems like EVs are still exotic in the Midwest. I hope you guys made it back home safe and you enjoyed your time in Switzerland. Greetings, Mark

Thanks for your comments. The Q8 e-tron that is the version of my car has about 30% more range. If you opt for the smaller rims as opposed to 21 or the 22” rims you will get better range. Thanks again.

@@harveysoicher2522 Thank Harvey. After watching your e-Tron v1 video, we pulled the trigger on the 2021 etron and we are so happy with the car. At that time, the base model was the only vehicle left in the inventory and we went with it. Hence, we couldn't experience the other awesome features, but this e-Tron is still beyond amazing. I wish you all the best. Hope you continue to have a great journey with this car.

@@harveysoicher2522 I have wanted to make the leap over to an EV for some years, but did not feel that the industry was ready. I originally liked the look of Teslas, but they seem dated to me now-and Tesla’s have more of a cult following than I think they deserve. The interiors have seats and one large screen-i think there is much more comfort to be had in the Audi. In any case, I took an online quiz about which cars to look at, and they pointed me to the e-tron for my lifestyle. I have a house in the mountains 100 miles from my home in Seattle, Washington in the USA and can put chargers in both. Mountain driving makes off-road capability important, especially in the winter. An SUV is important for housing my dogs, skiing gear and luggage. Taking my 90 year old mother along is a great argument for totally adjustable, heated seats. A totally quiet interior cabin and fabulous sound system can make a long drive pleasurable. I got addicted to heads up displays in my last two BMWs-it is a great safety feature. Elon doesn’t believe in them. My e-Tron is being shipped, and it seems like it is taking a long time. But once it arrives, I look forward to taking some long road trips with it and learning the whole “Zen” of charging on the road. Your videos are an inspiration.

Hi Christine, Thanks with how fast you got back to me! Yes, One of the main reasons I liked the Audi was the quality reputation and features like the Heads up Display which I think it’s not only cool, makes it much less stress when navigating and therefore less tiring and safer. I’m not sure if you are aware I drove my e-tron twice across North America coast to coast. You can see the videos recapping both trips on my RU-vid channel. If you can’t find them I can send you the direct links. These two videos show that you can take long road trips. The latest video shows how quickly an Audi e tron can make it over 7000 km. I can also share some of my experiences in finding and using chargers as well as maximizing your charging convenience. You are already smart in putting in home chargers at both your homes. Even when charging on a long road trip you will learn that you can charge when needing a break, eating, sightseeing, staying overnight at a hotel and other activities so your charging time is more convenient than gassing up.

The e-trons being delivered now are even better including the range and will continue to improve as time as Audi expands to more models and even better tech. I agree! I did just get a softwear upgrade from Audi to increase range by about 5%. Note that I have received from my Audi much better range than the epa states for this vehicle. Last summer in the warmer weather I was consistently averaging over 380 KM of effective range and twice experienced 450 KM effective range!

Hi Lukas, Thanks for your question. I think the Q4 e-tron is a fantastic EV and is everything you would expect in a premium Audi vehicle. Both the SUV and Sportback are great looking, equipped with dual motors for great power, great handling especially in winter conditions. Range is much better than my car however the maximum charging rate tops out at 125 KW/hr which is still better than most EVs. The lower price point will make the Q4 e-tron a huge winner.
