YOU HERO!!! THANKS!! 👍 Just bought an A4 2.0TDi SE Avant with 202k miles. Drives smoother than any car I've ever owned in 47 years (including 2 Volvo S60 SE Luxe's with only 80k on the clock) for unbelievable peanuts. Went to check the oil &.... No dipstick. Got the manual out, read the MMI & got this error message 😨 Pooped my pants: thought the dealer had removed a sensor or worse for some nefarious major fault hiding reason. Thank you to yet another YT hero. The oils's spot on & your method worked perfectly 1st time. Brilliant & I can relax a little & pray the car's as good as it feels.
Thank you so much when I was trying to figure it out I must’ve went through about 15 to 20 videos and nobody gave you the right information so once I figure it out I thought I would share and help others thank you so much
Thanks for this. Worked well. Saw a previous comment where this also sorted the check engine light. Mine still showing though. Hope it turns off after a few engine cycles.
Very helpful tutorial, I had low oil level on my Audi A4 and I topped my oil with 1 litter oil. And next day not showing me oil level bar and check engine light also turned on. Checked so many videos regarding this but nothing works. Just tried your way works like a magic both the light gone. Now very happy thanks a lot man. Have a great Christmas 🎄 and new year. Keep making videos. Thanks
this is true but depending on what model you have, you can buy genuine audi dipsticks. i bought a salvaged 2011 a4 b8 avant and had this same issue. i tried everything and nothing worked. i ended up coming across a audi forum which had the parts # to exactly what i was looking for. now i can check my oil level in peace ✌🏼
I have this problem everytime i open my hood. The sensor comes back after like a week everytime. So how do i know oil lvl is ok after i fill upp if i cant se directly
I so basically you should check it on a weekly basis Audi says that it’s OK for the car to burn 1 quart of oil every 600 miles so when the light is empty on the oil level and the light comes on That means that you’re a quart low
On my audi a5 2011 6speed manual u put to key in click on oil level check it tells you to start the engine u push the key in as if your startimg the car but it doesn't start which i find weird and it tels u the oil level then u just push key again to start the engine
Cause a fucking dipstick would have been too hard. Fucking Audi. I think I'll just buy an after market dipstick. But thanks for the video, I was wondering why sometimes it shows oil level and sometimes it doesn't.
Im sorry I might be late to this ball. But I’m trying to just this as you showed yet it doesn’t say anything just shows me an empty oil bar and no text telling me that it’s empty or anything? Anyone know why? Maybe the sensor is not working?
Hey bro how are you I do have A5 2011, once I was checking on the menu, went to oil service, pressed on it, and got a message of ( please drain off oil) although oil is still new please advise Thanks
My Audi was serviced and when followed all those steps, it now says pleas drain oil. It won’t go away but it was serviced with fresh oil. Not sure how to clear
mine just says please drain oil no matter what, up until it ran out of oil and my engine blew ... im thinking of ditching this stupid fucking car that came without a hod damn dipstick unless i can fibd out how to check my oil cus across a few thousand miles NOTHING makes this digital bullshit work... just says please drain oil
ik exactly how you feel. i bought a salvaged 2011 a4 b8 avant and had this same issue. i tried everything and nothing worked. i ended up coming across a audi forum which had the parts # to exactly what i was looking for. there’s nothing worse than driving a car (let alone an audi) and not knowing your oil levels bc you could end up spending thousands on a new engine
