Great video mate. Have done this yesterday myself. Quick note for anyone who would consider doing this. You don’t need to disassemble whole thing top cover is clipped in once removed you will have full access to ribbon cable. To clean the ribbon cable i have used soldering iron, do not use direct fire as ribbon cable will shrink. Before soldering pierce 3 holes through plastic part and reinstall small white plastic for one this will hold ribbon cable in place for soldering second it removes tension from soldered areas when reinstalled.
Hey mate, so when soldering the ribbon cable, do you get the tiny wires out of the ribbon and solder it together or you just align it and solder on top. Cheers
I have a question once the clock spring is broken can you remove the steering wheel airbag clips then after disconnect the battery. Or the airbag might come on?
Can someone help me please I have changed my squib on my VW Passat programmed it in. airbag lights gone off but still have no horn or steering wheel controls can someone help me please..
