S1's are quick and depending on driver good on bends, raced one on roads from MK to Bedford, I was in a Skoda rapid 1.6tdi had him on all roundabouts and bends, but he took off on the straights, keep em coming Calvin
GTI has about 1350kg, but weight can vary depends on equipment... DSG or not, sunroof or w/o sunroof. S1 is about 1400kg, it has lighter chasis but heavier all wheel drive and dsg. However comparing from 0-60 and 1/8 mile is not fair comparison between FWD and AWD car.
Calv just saying the s1 isn’t being drive by 4 wheels all the time it’s mainly front wheel drive then sends power to the back when it needs to👍 great video though.
I've got a MK7 GTi and i'm really disappointed in these kind of figures. I remember when the GTi was the Daddy of Hot Hatches, now it's just the Granddad of Hot hatches.
Had a go with a manual s1 in my mk4 tdi estate with around 215bhp and was happily stuck to the back of it. Of course tuned 215bhp is different to stock 215bhp in a car
this little rare sleeper is causing more noice to all Golfers..... Cannot imagine with the stage 3.5 juice in tap, It must be The MONKEY LONDON , not a sleeper again
Probably asking when he’s gonna get a proper job. Cue shouts that a used car dealer IS a proper job. What’s really hard is being a profitable used car dealer, while remaining a straight arrow. Now that’s a proper job.
dunstablem2 yea I’ve thought about that. Could definitely do that. I’m thinking what could we put your M2 up against 🤔 I’ll think of something and give you a shout.
The S1 is not a full time quattro, the car is always front wheel drive. Only when it loses traction in the front, the rear wheels help. Therefore your power loss argument of 5% more is invalid for this car.
