This is my record of me changing the transmission fluid on my 2005 S4 B7 Audi. Some takeaway points:
1. Don't do this if you don't need to
2. Don't try this without good access under the car
3. Make sure before starting that you can run the engine without having to move the car

Were you able to fill the transmission all the way up? I’m trying to do the same thing on the same exact car. Thanks for the video it was definitely needed!

I love my 06 S4 cabriolet but it is a frustrating car to own. The driving experience is sublime, but the engineering is schizophrenic. Brilliance is cheek by jowl with silly and annoying overly complicated answers to unasked questions. Like no way to check nor add transmission fluid without a lift; or having to take the motor out of the car to replace the timing chains ala Ferrari, a $4-5,000 job . This is why I see so many of these for sale with 85k miles or so and why they can be bought cheaply if you are aware of the huge priced service coming up @ 100,000 miles. Btw, if you have the chain break, it is an interference type motor, so you’ll be buying another one if it happens. Five grand or more plus the r&r charge. Whoops!
