Have this car for 8years or so and it is so much I found few cars that r this well equipped for so little money it’s almost has good as the Porsche but less performance and great drivability 😊 to bad there no longer for sale 😢
Took mine on a day at manfield circuit chris amon... The brakes get hot fast... ive done fluid which has made it last longer but if you have pads and rotor suggestions im interested.
I have TRW 1809 pads and TRW discs, nothing special. There is only one hard braking zone on this track from 160 to 100 km/h, and I am not driving very fast, so I have not overheated the brakes yet. A very fast dude in an 8S on slicks on this track with TTrs discs overheated em on the second lap. So I think there is nothing cheap and easy with brakes - just better fluid, new discs / brakes, possibly extra wind by removing the front bumper :D
@@dgorin Haha. I have pads but they were from the previous owner and stock discs. They will have to go after the next track day i do. Manfield NZ has 3 straights where r8's, 911 gt3's and GTRs are all braking from 200-220kph per lap. In my case approx 170-180 in the TT. At the moment im playing it safe by doing 3 fast laps before i go to cool things down. I ideally would like to do a 15 minute session at a time at the moment the best I can manage is 8 mins. The brake fluid did help the pedal feel though. Thanks for replying. Also forgot to ask. Have you flashed or had your transmission tuned? It looks like if shifts faster than mine.
