Audio:
On a Sunday evening a loaded 56G Loudon bound grain train traverses the K&O district through Clinton, Tennessee. The lead unit is a CEFX AC4400CW number 1050 equipped with an Airchime K-3LR2 horn.
These trains are over tonnage for the grade at Copper Ridge a few miles east and require pushers. The train pulled a knuckle south of Clinton, TN. While the crew was getting the train back together the helpers headed on south to get on the rear of the train to for the shove over Copper Ridge. The grade tacks out at 2 percent in some places. I was really banking on some SD40-2's to come out and shove, but a couple of Dash9-44CW's out of Sevier yard did the deed that night.
Anyways! Here's the audio I got from that train that night. Starting in Clinton 56G in dynamic braking descends the grade into downtown going by the depot. Later at the body of the grade at Copper Ridge the train is heard blowing for a crossing north of Heiskel, TN. before digging into the grade by me at Copper Ridge. The pushers are then heard shoving the train on up the ridge into Powell, TN.
Enjoy!
