Starting this conversation with "division" ... which is the real, actual... one huge problem... Right. He is always right of course. "In perception, there is no choice," K says. "Seeing clearly, there is no chioice.".... Perception, seeing clearly.
I wonder why Krishnamurti is using the word seeing, in spite of the fact that he said " there must be no observer to observe", but the issue is that, for instance, I am occupied with myself and I am not observing, but some minute later I remember that I am not observing, therefore I observe, so it's clear that either is observation with the observer or occupation of my mind with itself and there's nothing such observation without observer.
The observer is the 'I' which always sees things as separate from himself. But when there's no 'I' there is a seeing in which there's no separation. K says it better than me. Google it, it's there.
This term seeing here encompasses all senses, the entire system of body and mind as one. Naturally there's no room for an observer. The observing party melts into the other so to speak.
K talked about it somewhere, like, "a second after, 'Oh I missed it.' " It felt to me that the "Oh..." part won't have the time to interject... and thats how one observes if there isn't the observer.... I hope that I am on the right track.
Well, that was an appalling waste of time, wasn't it? It's impossible to talk to these sorts of minds. If you told him the building was on fire he'd still be saying 'Well... okay... but I'm still a little puzzled... '!
Totally agreed. He can’t get out of his own head long enough to just listen. If he had, maybe the conversation would have progressed beyond his being “puzzled”.
