I bit of recommendation if I may regarding the arm setting up. 1. After you balance the arm you put it back on its rest column and secure it. 2. Put the stylus protection back and then set the weight indicator to 0. 3. After that set the entire counterweight to the desired weight 4 Lastly set the antiscating nob to the corresponding value. It is the recommended procedure. And I've seen it recommended as such by many experienced users (and the manufacturer btw). 🙂

I've owned my Audio Technica AT-LP120X-USB for several years now. I love it and would definitely recommend it to anyone. It works, functions and, most importantly, sounds great! I have owned more expensive players and IMO this Audio Technica is as good or better. Love this player.

Great video! For the last 5 years I have been listening to my vinyl records on an LP60-BT and it was fine. A couple of days ago I got the LP120XBT-USB and it is much better, both in terms of performance and sound.

Just brought one and it’s pretty nice for the price , but definitely doesn’t have the same feel as my old Technics 1200’s in terms of mixing. Great! for just general listening

I recommend upgrading the stylus to the Ortofon Blue ($210) and use an Ifi Zen phono pre-amp ($200). Changes the whole dynamic! You will hear details you never heard before. On par with the best turntables out there for 1/4 the price. I added an acrylic platter mat too. It's the best.

1: Some harsh remarks from hi-if fans I’ve had for giving this turntable a thumbs up on other vids. ‘It’s made by the same company that make £50 stuff, the top chassis is plastic, it’s not weighty enough, “I give up, enjoy your junk” etc. 2: My personal experience. I own a great dac/headphone amp and a pair of £300 open back headphones, last night I played the highly regarded 2015 hi res remaster of the album ‘Forever Changes’ by Love. I then payed the equally highly regarded vinyl reissue of that album on the 120x. Aside from some low surface noise on quiet musical sections the level of detail was very close to the hi res transfer from the original master tapes that the hi res compatible dac/amp is processing. This is from the TT stock stylus and inbuilt pre-amp. As such I’ve ignored others telling me I’m ‘wrong’.

You aren't wrong, this is a great turntable made by the same company that makes TT for other companies. Let them rant on. Just enjoy music. I would tell them that if you really want to enjoy pure music, go CD. The new discs are so much better than current LP vinyl presses. No pops, no scratches, no groove noise, no flipping the record over, etc. I have both as I have 375 albums I've had for up to 50 years. Can't dump them, many are not available on CD and are too good to get rid of. Of course, I have 250 or more CDs. I just like to play music, no matter the format.

I can see (or should that be ‘hear’?) why this turntable is so popular. Bought one 3 weeks ago. It’s fantastic. One often not mentioned aspect is how good the inbuilt pre-amp is, it’s high 4mv output means that I only have to turn up the volume on my portable headphone amp to the same level as I do quieter mastered cds/streams. With previous turntables/budget preamps I’ve had to max out the volume.

@@1bh2nd3md still going strong. However; The common fault of the tone arm dropping a bit too fast developed; fixed with some damping gel. Have a microline stylus which has taken the sound quality up a couple of notches.

@gavinhardy75 Hey gavin, Mine also developed the too fast dropping of the Tone arm on the record. Where did you apply the Gel? I'm going to try to contact AT support to see if they have a "fix". FWIW, I upgraded the cartridge to a Nagaoka 110. Noticeably better than the Standard Cartride and the AT MV95N that I tried as well.

This TT cannot be recommended enough. If you are thinking of buying a sub $200 TT pay some more and get this one. It punches above its weight. And the HD-BT is the icing on the cake feature that makes it current.

Glad it was helpful. Check out my short on how to store your records. Keep them clean. They sell different brushes u can use to keep the dust off. I do a couple swipes with the cleaning brush everytime I play a new record. Thanks so much for watching!

I have one and ordered another one, on the way. I am going to hook them up to my Numark mixer, Sansui, Kenwood, Pioneer, ADC system. I bought everything when I was in the USARMY many years ago. Dj's table usually don't have automatic return because if it had that the dj's would have trouble if they use it in the clubs & they would like to play the last song on the records (both sides) & it goes up to the rest stand.

I have this TT - awesome for sure especially for the $$$$$ . Perhaps someone knows about an issue I have with Mine. When I use the Lift to raise the Tonearm and then use the lever to lower the tonearm, it drops the Tonearm too Quickly to the record? Is there some adjustment ? Or is the lever malfunctioning? THX . BTW, I upgraded the cartridge 2X. First to the AT MV95 , then to a Nagaoka 110. The Naga is the winner!. More Umph, and clarity to my ear.

I have this turntable connected to a soundbar system (which includes a subwoofer by Bluetooth. I have no receiver and/or pre-amp. Just the turntable and Bluetooth soundbar system. If I turn the volume up on the soundbar above about 60% I begin getting a very bad humming sound. If I turn the subwoofer off it stops. I've tried placing the subwoofer on a foam bad to isolate vibrations thru the floor and that didn't help. I move the subwoofer as far away from the turntable as possible (approx. 20') and that didn't help. If I turn the subwoofer off while playing a record the humming stops. I checked the turntable cartridge and it seems fine. Listening to the TV through the soundbar produces no hum. Just the turntable. I've read that this could be a grounding issue (ground loop) and the fix is to ground it to your receiver or pre-amp but I am using neither. Also, the turntable and the soundbar are around 10' apart from one another. Can you give me any suggestions on how to fix this issue? It's very annoying.

How far can you go with the Bluetooth? I bought the Insignia table and the BT connection is pretty terrible... I put it in my dining room and in the kitchen (the next room over) I lose connection on my airpods, so I'm looking for something better... Also, can the AT-LP120XBT connect to a receiver via Bluetooth or is it just headphones/wireless speakers?

I'm not gonna be too much help here as I have only tried the blue tooth connected about 20ft away with my sound bar. Also I have not been able to connect via my ear buds, maybe someone can help me with that. I press the BT button on my sound bar and the BT button on the turntable and they automatically link up. It's been a great player for me so far. Thanks so much for watching!

Hello! My Sony ps-lx310bt is connected to a preamp device and the therefore the switch is set to phono. When I want to use my Bluetooth headphones I just press the button, nothing more. Anyone knows if this turntable works the same way? I mean, can it be connected the same way as my Sony and just press the Bluetooth button when I want to listen with headphones?

I can't speak for headphones as I haven't tried it but when I want to listen to it on my living room soundbar I hit the bluetooth button on the player and the soundbar and they automatically pair up. It's pretty cool. Thanks so much for watching!

I've had them cranked up pretty loud but I don't know if I've turned them up to 11 for long duration of time lol. I would say these are great speakers for a medium sized room but they do have some muscle behind them when you want to turn them up. I'm going to pair them with a 10 inch sub just because... they do already have a decent amount of bass for bookshelf speakers. Thanks so much for watching!

There are a few excellent budget subs like the polk psw10, elac sub1010, dayton and the monoprice... ive heard the sub1010 and psw10 side by side and rhe elac sounded the most musical, had the lowest bass too. I have not heard the dayton and monoprice though because Im not in the states. There is a small clip of that elac and the 1700BTs on my channel, very low volumes but it sounds out of this world!
