Been using these for like five years now, never needed to get anything else. I got the Behyerdynamic 990 Pro just for a different reference, but the 50’s are all you need.
@@tibicu Not necessarily, you can just use them plugged into your output, but you’re better off having a good interface for a more-accurate representation of what you hear.
@@MadDoggEntertainment rn my headseat are broken i hear only with the left side and i dont have studio monitors... so if this headset are actually good im gonna buy it
Good review and straight to the point. I have one of those, and it sounds great for mixing and recording vocals , very recomended in our homestudios...
Good review -- I appreciate the detail you put into showing the cable connection. I was wondering if it would get pulled out but you cleared that up. Including multiple details is appreciated. That feels like they went the extra mile in terms of consumer satisfaction with that.
Superb video Edward. Thanks so much for the information.. I just ordered my pair a couple of hours ago and waiting for them to arrive in a couple of days...Bravo
@@EdwardSmithMusic and Dude I can't wait!!!!! I'm a collector now. This is my 9th pair so far and my OneOdio's just arrived today from Amazon. Haven't even unpacked them yet. Kudos Again my friend.
You should add on the title something about testing for producers or for in the studio. I was looking for this video and wasn’t the first that popped up. 👍👍 great job!
Wow, @5:15 here's the rule out: "Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro is less clamping on the ears than the ATH m50x" (paraphrase). I just bought the 770s and could not even wear them for five minutes before my TMJ (jaw joint) hurt! (I have TMJ issues...). If these ATH are MORE clamping, forget them for me! Thank you for saving me from buying them! Headphones are not returnable these days!
Hey man I'm really confused on what to buy - DT770 PRO 80 OHM VS ATHM50X? I just cant decide ,they say the sound is flavoured in athm50x and dt770 pro are better studio headphones and more flatter! What should I buy tho????
These are anything but flat. I use them everyday and it's clear the mid range is very subdued and the highs are enhanced a little. They also boom on some low frequencies, but in a good way. They can't go super low, but the bass has some impact. Again, not flat. They very much emphasize the highs and lows.
Help me, i don’t have an audio interface and I’m planning to get this headphones but I’m wondering connecting these straight to my laptop Will effect the listening experience?
Using the interface with the headphones will give you a better experience, but without the interface, your listening experience with these headphones will be perfectly fine 👌🏼
I recently purchased a new headset (ATH-M50xBT) and noticed that it has a p65 (Proposition 65 Cancer and Reproductive harm) warning on the back of the box. I looked at several other Audio Technica headsets and many of them seemed to carry this warning. Is anyone familiar with this warning or why it would be listed on so many of the AT products? Should I send mine back? I got it at B&H. This warning label is located in the back of the box. Also did your box come with a plastic cover for the headphone box? Mine didn’t! Just a box
Hey, i ordered the white ones from the link, people are saying they got fake headphones, any notes on this? I haven't received mine yet but just curious if you know of any fakes and how to test and see
I’ve been looking into buying these as I want to start getting into music production, but apart from using them to record and mix, are these also good for casual listening too?
These are good for everything, from general listening to making your own great song!! I own even more expensive headphones, but still use these instead. The M50Xs go with me everywhere, trust me, they are dope!!!
Great review of this absolute classic! Tell me something: does this white version get dirty too easily? Does it accumulate dust or dirt more than the black color version? A hug from Brazil!
Thanks for watching man! Honestly, the white stays pretty clean for the most part. It might get dirty after a while but you can just clean it. I’ve had mine for over a year now and they are still clean white color 💪🏻
Hello bro I'm looking to buy this pair of headphone. But can I use this for music production by connection these directly to my laptop and mobile....coz I don't have budget for audio interface and all.
@@rishabhinc2936 i would spend more money on an interface rather than on headphones. You could buy the cheapest scarlett interface and the at 40xs. But yes i think that would do
Everybody just be watching these vids without any intention of buying the product ! but love the vid tho !! . . . . Lovce from Nepal ! Comment where are u guys from !
These are a huge nope. The lows bleed into the mids and there is no Soundstage at all. The m40x with hm5 pads are better or if you have more to spend, the ath-msr7b are on a whole other level.
Now 149 in black, and all same in white is 169. I got in white anyway. The best. Playing my piano keyboard>. And yes I use 120 sm cable to connect with my board, don't need any longer. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-AGDJbLAe-Xo.htmlsi=xDauBJ2vfw3lVPSI
