Thank you so much for this video. I had everything set up right except for the network connection with the manual router settings. Killer jacket by the way.
Awesome tutorial this is exactly what i did but on pc. just a note. being that you are using class C and the last octet you should use a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0 to avoid any config issues later on
Nice one Jalpinist. Would like to know the maximum number/type of AA plugins you can now run in series/ parallel on one/ several audio channel/s and/or Stereo Bus, compared to before with only one computer?
Depends on the particular plugs. Some are more demanding then others.. The most I have tested is around 14 channels with Mic pre emulations and Eq's, some channel strips. Crimson ,TAUPE and Ivory on the Bus.. Somewhere around 20.. I can run maybe 4 or 5 without. Best part is that AudioGridder itself barely touches the Daw processor, so you can load up main computer with plugs and save AG for the heavy hitters.
Hi I would like to know how do you scan your vst plugins on the audiogridder step by step? This would be very helpful, I pray you are doing fine & your divinepath & fulfilling your order, may God bless you ( Divine Path = Destiny ) ( Order = purpose )
WHERE are the plugins installed?! Are the installed on the DAW system or the Audiogridder server... so many videos completely seem to jump over that VERY important detail.
This is great, thanks. For some reason I'm not able to actually control the plugin from my main computer. I can open plugins on it, but then I have to go to my server computer monitor to change any settings. Anyone else having this problem?
Let's say I want to run a farm of AudioGridder servers, for instance, 3 or 4 additional Mac Minis alongside a main machine, like a MacBook Pro. Do you know if I need to have 3 or 4 ADDITIONAL licenses for my plugins? I intend to build a setup like this based around AudioGridder, and not just only for Acustica plugins - that's why I'm asking this question. I think Acustica gives like 3ish licenses per plugin? so for other plugins that only give me one or two, do I need a license per machine that I plan to use AudioGridder for?
Yes. that would be the case. You could either contact the vendor and request more licenses or separate the plugs to different nodes: eg: sand, crimson and coffee on node 1, Pink, Ivory, Crimson on Node 2, etc.
@@w.jamesmeagher7895 it does work apparently , but i ended up discovering that you can run it all locally. So if you have a good high core cpu.. running locally is a godsend! Running 5950x here an works flawlessly
@@DanielStaff_ Very cool! My main machine is a 3900X, but I have an older (but very decent) i7 iMac collecting dust. I’ll try both ways and see which yields the best results.
@@jalpinist I’m having all kinds of major problems I’m using the 1.2 beta and when I bounce off-line the tempo of the track is slower and also it crashing the server I’d love to see this thing work but it’s really not handling what I’m asking it to do
. . . although some people are reporting improved performance by using Audiogridder on a single computer (acting as both Master and Server) because it distributes resources more efficiently than their DAW.
