Great review. Watched your review with my pair of nightowl lol. "Feels like listening to a pair of good speakers" is the best description, and so comfortable! Wish there are more aftermarket pads since I prefer suede/cloth.

Get rid of the background music while you are speaking. The video is annoying and unwatchable. These headphones are great. Your video is not.

You could have said the exact same thing in a nice and polite way and the message would have been much better received - just while we are being honest with each other here. Your idea is great, your message is not

a shame they dropped manufacturing these so quickly. I have a pair, love it, but the headband is coming apart and Audioquest already commented they aren't really able to support me. So even if you still can find them in the wild I'd still not recommend anyone to buy it from now on. Also, just calling the cable "super high quality" only is a big missed opportunity - most people hate it and for good reason.

I just got my pair on Friday and have been burning them in for 10-12 hours a day for two days, which I will increase to 24 hrs by letting them play throu a headphone amp connected to a CD player until Sunday, which would give me my 150 hours. These are better than the original nighthawks with more bass and they sound good right away. The original nighthawks were very flat and needed the 150 hours until they burned in and sounded good, these sound good right away, good mids, bass and treble. Are you going to review the Nighthawk carbons the open back ones. Have you heard that Skylar Grey left Audioquest and Audioquest is getting out of headphones? I'm asking because the price has been reduced almost in half. Thanks for your reviews.

These are really nice headphones. Made me want to sell all my others. It's funny because at first I didn't like them but after the 150 hours burn in, I can't put them down.

H Pol I have had focal ealar and utopias on review and a few others but yes my headphones experience in terms of diversity is quite linited at the moment. Doesn't mean cant recognise a great product when I hear one I put them on my head maybe 40 hours later I realise just how much content I have really enjoyed and how great the sound experience has been programme depending without even paying attention to the headphones that says a lot to me and is what I think is good. Kit that draws your attention to it in my view is doing things wrong

Pursuit Perfect System Ok. In my opinion it lacks definition, clarity and the sound feels thick.

i love personal audio, I got into it seriously about 2 yrs ago and since now I have 2 decent amps and went over a few DACs (DSD is where it's @ ) I won't spend thousands on headphones as I do with my HI-FI but i would like you to do a bit more digging in the personal audio territory ... i have a Marantz DAC 1 + an smsl DAC amp for gaming which i love bought as headphones i have fostex th-x00 for fun and hifiman HE400I for general listening (i intend to upgrade) bought are considered mid-fi but the Fostex is amazing for fun listening and would like to see ya reviewing it or one of there variants or even more personal audio stuff.

Without a doubt one of my favourite headphones they actually moved air between my ears and ear cups with a good head amp, what a cool sensation!
