This spring I auditioned for four drama schools in London! In this video you will learn exactly what I had to do and why I didn't get into some and how I got into East 15. The schools and the programmes were the following:
Royal Central School of Speech and Drama / BA Acting (Musical Theatre)
Guildhall School for Music and Drama / MA Acting
The MTA / 2 year Musical Theatre programme*
East 15 Acting School / MA Acting
*I forgot to mention that I was recalled for the MTA. Before this day, I submitted a different monologue and song via the Shoot Me! -app, and was invited to perform in person based on my audition from home!

Background Info:
After years of training in acting, singing and dance I auditioned for London's drama schools, and I got into the best of them. This spring I was offered a place at the MA Acting course at East 15 Acting School (University of Essex), which was awarded the UK's best drama school in 2018 and 2019. I have spent many months thinking back and forth about whether to jump into the unknown and leave behind a wonderful home, a great job, incredible friends and family and actually go for my dream - and I decided to do so. My social media is called "She Lives Her Dream" for a reason.

Omy gosh! This can't be a coincidence! I was just reading Supid F* Bird because I love that play! And I was planning on doing my contemporary monologue from that one. ^.^

When did you apply to these schools and when were your auditions? I'm still deciding whether this year is the right year for me for drama school but I've heard you're in with much better odds the earlier you apply and the earlier you are seen! The E15 masters seems like a perfect fit for me and it's really great to see that you're enjoying it! Thanks xx

Hi! What's the difference between BA and MA? I'm from Spain and I wish I could study there, but I don't understand a few things

Hey Claudia! A BA is a bachellor, an undergraduate programme (un grado universitario), while a MA is a master, a posgraduate programme (un máster universitario). Generally, you need to have studied a BA if you want to do a masters. Even so, when it comes to drama school, they can accept you in MA programmes without having a BA if you have enough working experience. Good luck!! :)

Does Central school of speech and drama prefer younger or older applicants? As you've said, Guildhall prefers mature students.

Definitely younger for the BA! Everyone was about 17!

Nope, I have a BA in Literature though and so I was eligible for an MA in Acting!
