The footings are 2 ft wide and 6 ft deep! Posts are 8 in x 8 in. The soil was very hard and we encountered some rocks. School district needed to help get one out with their backhoe. But in the end all went well! Soil is so compacted that the sides are strong and sturdy for our footings.
