My first long-ish flight for the newly rebuilt Ultracub. It was a nice evening and I was joined in the air by Steve Magdic in his MX Sport for a bit of fun over Capitol Airport in Brookfield, WI.
It's a Hummel 45 hp. Scott Castler owns Hummel Engines and can get you a great engine, but if you want to save some money you can build one on your own.
@@JimPfarr I've talked to Scott a few times. He was with Hummel in Wasson OH about 40 miles away. Love his engines. But thinking about more HP because I'm about 250lbs.
@@billco-9801 I flew this plane originally with a 32 hp engine, flew ok. You're greater concern is gross weight and impacts on stall and flight performance. The wing design and area determines both performance and useful load, engine just pulls the contraption thru the air
