I feel like maybe Ipsy sends the curators a list of items that Ipsy can get their hands on in bulk and probably has the curators pick their favorite items from that list, or that's my theory. The IL Makiage palette isn't actually a repeat palette, just a majorly repeated brand. I have the last large palette, and it is all brown neutrals, and this palette is berry colors, which I'm excited to be able to get. They feature alot of the same brands over and over. Probably because they can easily get those brands in bulk. Tfs
Yea that does make sense. I could see that. It might be hard for Ipsy to go out and wrangle a deal with other random brands that the curators pick. So it probably is that they say “of these items, make your pick..” I do love Il Makiage and would love the larger palette too. I’m just getting tired of the quads lol.
@SherSharesBeauty Yeah, I have 4 different IL Makiage quads, which are nice to put in my travel bag, but when I'm home, I don't really reach for them. Especially when I have so many beautiful high-end and indie eyeshadow palettes that I would rather use. I feel like Ipsy can get those palettes at a discounted price because not many people are willing to pay what they have them listed for on their website. They're good palettes but if I'm spending $50-$70 I'm buying Natasha Denona, Pat McGrath, Makeup By Mario, Charlotte Tilbury, ABH, or Indie brands definitely not IL Makiage.
Another il Makiage palette?! 😂 omg it’s starting to remind me of Ciate London, I swear il Makiage palettes have been an option every month lol I hope I don’t get that palette cuz it’s not my vibe … the first aid exfoliating pads are a repeat I got those a few years ago in BoxyCharm. I wonder why we are seeing so many repeats lately??😒

So, the Danesse Myricks product is actually from her blush line. The "flushed" is part of the title, not the shade name. It's confusing because it has the same name as the blurring balm powder with flushed tacked on the end. By the way, it is my holy grail cream blush. It's fantastic.

I am torn. No, this does not feel like an icon box but Kat Burki and Byroe are so good. I like Fab, drybar,JLo and one more. However, I have loved all the Keyes I have tried so would love this months Boxy. Correct if Im wrong but you cant get both if you already have the glam bag. Thank you for the spoilers
Yea I think there’s some good items for sure if we get them. 😉 Since I get PR, I don’t know for sure. But I think I did hear that the icon box replaces your glam bag or boxy for the month if you’ve upgraded to it. :( A shame because the others look good.
I have been getting Ipsy for years, but have gotten really horrible boxes since I went annual. I haven’t gotten a lot of the spoiler brands. I won’t get it after my annual subscription expires. I used to love getting my boxes and even the glam bag which I dropped a few years ago. I am just so disappointed in what I have been getting.
I never thought I’d be skipping icon box but too many repeats . But iam really excited for boxycharm by Ipsy box I want that keys skin tint & amika hair product. My thoughts are Ipsy must be having a hard time finding curators for icon box . I think a lot of people canceled there subscription & Ipsy has been putting there better products in the shops instead of box’s so they can makeup the money

I love these, they'll have a lot more that won't leak too 👍 It's definitely all Ipsy but remember - if you break it down by price its around $ 7. 50 per item ❤ I can't afford to buy at Sephora or Ulta too much but I can afford spending $60 every 3 mths to get ,8 makeup , skincare & hair products 🎉 That's definitely in my budget 😁 Luv you & thanks Sher 🤗❤️🥰👍
Yea I mean especially the unofficial spoilers I am excited about. But they are all certainly a deal with the price breakdown, no doubt. It’s just as long as it’s the mix of items you like. 🤗
As long as the brands are good I don’t mind repeats as long as it isn’t repeat PRODUCTS. I don’t get Icon box but this all looks so good! I have to spend my own $$$ on these so I am kind of pickier than if I got them for free. I am excited to see what you get and hope you like it ❤
Oh for sure. For $60, you definitely want to get items you love! I’m really excited for BoxyCharm this month but there are some in icon I am digging too. Just hope I get them! 😂 🤞
I am Really considering skipping this months Icon box. There are a few good items but the rest are things I can purchase (and have) myself. I get the box to try out new products/brands I haven’t heard of or wouldn’t purchase myself because they are to expensive. Ipsy hasn’t been bringing that lately. I am the odd ball that doesn’t care about Pat McGrath or Denessa M. I don’t get the hype with their products. I have other shadows from indie brands that are much better than both of those. I may just get the Boxycharm box and purchase the one or two items I am interested in.
When Vanessa Hudgens pick Il Makiage as her makeup pickthat she uses and it was the brown 8psn palette. She had all products that she uses in her skin care routine and s lot of the brands that are repeated come from other Icons who picks. The Icons do pick the merchandise, but I am not thrilled with Legend as the Icon. I was hoping for Rihanna or Selena.
Icon box would be more Iconic if the ICONS actually had products like Patrick Starrr. When they don't they have to use the beauty products they use everyday, like Vanessa did.
Agree! We want more from the curators themselves. But only usually get 1-2 from them. Yea I guess it’s more that the curators are picking from the stash that Ipsy has. That makes sense.
It just seems like a lot of repeats I don't get why they were even picked if we aren't seeing any of there brand. We had those palettes I have them from ipsy. Kinda disappointing. Great brands and products but we have seen these idk I wish you could skip a mth. on icon I definitely would have. I canceled my boost because it's alot of skincare. I think your 💯 right I think ipsy either picks the icon products or the "creator" gets so many products to choose from and that's it.
@SherSharesBeauty You can skip on the glam bag & the ipsycharm but I looked and I didn't see a way to skip the icon so I canceled. I really love getting these every mth.
Seriously? More Il Makiage color boss palettes? All of their eye palettes look the same to me and I don’t really like the formula. I know, not a popular opinion but I just can’t get enough pigment from them without a ton of fallout. If I get that palette I may just scream 😂
Ha I hear you on the repeat. It’s getting old with theirs.. 😬 I do know what you mean though on the formula. It’s not highly pigmented. But it is a good pro makeup formula to work with for a very every day look. Not for pigment/color lovers though at all lol.

@@StardustVegan I actually had good luck first time with them. It wasn't until now this is my third issue that I realized that was not the norm. I happened to mention it to my little sister! She had a story to tell 😂😂😂😝
