What may have ended up being the final good chase of Monsoon 2023...this vlog follows my chase from the north side of Tucson all the way back to Phoenix as a huge line of severe storms exploded and merged into an MCS that had a lovely shelf cloud for awhile and awesome dust which ended up a very good haboob over Phoenix.

I was out of the state when this hit and watching the radar helplessly from 1300 miles away. The early part was just a few miles from my house. Great video!

I was watching the radar that night and couldn't believe all the lightning going on down there! Wish I could have been down there. That looked so cool. By the time it got up to Chino it was just about done. I did notice that it continued on north, though not with the power it did have. Thanks for sharing, Mike!

I enjoy these vids as much or more than the finished product. I also have a recent dream to do some storm chasing. Very cool vids bro. Great job.

Around 6:30 did you notice the lighting follow the contour of the dust? Maybe it was a coincidence, but I think that’s a thing, and it’s rare. I saw it once in a tornado video.

For the wind speed that seems to have moved slow, or am I mistaken.

You might be confounded a bit by the scale -- Mike's shots are sometimes 10+ miles wide, and the distance to the dust front can be 20+ miles. Dust front can be upwards of 1 mile high...
