Real men will understand this...This thing of ours we love, we understand, we can fix! Women on the other hand...We love, don't understand. and can't fix! NUFF SAID!
My mother in law lived about a mile from Kevin Harvicks truck race shop in Kernersville NC. We'd sit out on the deck and listen for an hour as he ran his engines in. Like birds singing.
In Answer to the question Why Put the Engine on the Engine stand ??? 1. Check for leaks... 2. Make Baseline Adjustments i.e. Timing it's Much easier to fix leaking Anything when you can access it Easily... 😮😮😮
I build suzuki dragbike motors ,I've done 3 v8 motors 302 Ford, 427 , and a 350 at of those 3 my funnest was the 427 put it in a Chevy fleet side pick up. Sounds well built buddy, happy days
I've got a 1957 Cheford pickum up truck that needs your popengo engine, so how about it? Love that you haven't reved long duration !! I'd like to give it a swirl or two. Thanks, Bubba !! You're 😎
I love the motor I love the idea of putting it on a stand checking it and making adjustments I don't like the idea of wrapping headers don't you wind up going through a lot of headers Faster by being wrapped?
Look Folk's, I built a 455 Buick, was putting it in a 66 Chevy truck. Well I had it in the bed until the installation. So, I'd run it to first break it in, then just to hear it run, I had headers and glass packs on it but every time I started it, the police would come by and tell me, to watch it but after telling me to fire it up!!!
*Mucho ruido! *Puro ruido para la vecindad! * Esos talleres no deven estar en esas zonas residenciales si hacen ruido diario. *.
There's a whole lot of extra metal on that engine if it's only 520cc, it must not have much power. My Honda Civic has a 1700cc engine in it and it's about on par with a city bus in terms of speed.
I think the CC engine size description is a mistake. It should be shown in cubic inches or Cu/In. It’s a Ford big block engine from their 385 Series of V-8 engines, or more commonly known as the 429 and 460. This 520 cu/in displacement comes from using a stroker rotating assembly with increased bore and stroke compared to the standard production engine size. It’s capable of leaping a Civic or city bus in a single bound in terms of speed 🤷♂️.
I have been building muscle car motors for 39 years and putting a new motor on a stand to make sure everything goes right is the smartest thing u could do so who ever asked u that stupid question don't know nothing about motors
This is how you make sure everything works before putting it in the vehicle. Having to remove everything again because something went wrong isn't an option when it's done right.
