This dude is awesome, such an inspiration. This is what a christian really is supposed to be. Humble and down to earth, not hateful or shoving opinions down people's throats like so many people make christians out to be. And sick tattoos of course... wish I would of done something like his sleeve instead of a bunch of random things thrown together lol

Met Jake last month, he was a great guy. Waited in a line for about 15 minutes just for a photo with the guy, I'd never heard of his name before that night. His on stage performance was just awe inspiring. Now I am a raging atheist don't get me wrong, but when Jake said to me "God bless you" I was taken aback. This man who's just getting some photos with people after seeing them smash around in the pit still says God bless you. Idk it was just weird but his faith didn't bother me at all for some reason

first off: i dont believe in any god. i think believing in god doesn't necessarily mean living 100% by the stuff thats written in the bible. at least nowadays. cause even the most hardcore christians know that alot of the stuff in the bible is not to be taken literelly, due to how old it is and how much people just came up with random stuff to write into it. i usually never talk about religion and stuff but thats just what came to my head when reading your comment :D

There is a verse from the Bible that says: "Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am Jehovah." So how does that fit together with his tats? And no, I'm not a hater, just wondering. I think he is a great guy, wiser and more reasonable than most of the other ones I have seen in these interviews...

technically writing in ink with a pen would be printing marks upon oneself too but definitely not harmful nor sinful same with crayons or markers or pencil or temporary tattoos etc to take some old laws written by men for men of jewish heritage in hebrew old testament times should have no bearing on christians today same as drinking alcohol so long as you don't get drunk or smoking weed except for the legal aspect of it. I have zero tattoos by the way and am a Christian but I see nothing wrong with any of this regardless. This issue and other small ones like it are not the battles to be fought in today's messed up world fighting them and arguing them makes all of us as Christians look stupid and hypocritical to the world completely negating our message of acceptance love and peace.
