Oh my gosh, when Laura said she could spend all day by the pond and she asked Aaron “should we?” That was so sweet. I hope y’all take a day off often and do just that! The picture of the crew that worked on the one made it teary-eyed. I love the different rooms that Laura has created. I’ve learned so much for Laura, Aaron and her team! Their videos remind me to enjoy nature more 😍! It’s nice to see the grounds at different times of the year to see what’s blooming, what’s changing and what’s fading. One day maybe you guys can put in a lake or pond and stick the pond. A few of my son’s friends have this in their back yard and they spend a lot of time fishing. I know it’s a lot of work, but it’s just a thought!

On Gates -- Evidently, according to British garden designers, gates are not just for getting through a fenced area. They're exclamation points in the landscape. They announce a transition from one spatial 'mood' to a differing one. Additionally important in the garden: Gates direct you to slow down, pause, and mark the moment.

It is hard to realize just how the south garden is showing sooooo much growth. I watch everyday and have been doing so from the time you were showing the last few videos from the town house. Who knew what all you would achieve in this South garden from the time it was just the original dust bowl. You have such a vision….I have to smile when you say there is just no overall plan. You have such an innate talent in placing all the trees and plants. You do have a plan…it just hasn’t been designed….. you know where each plant needs to go. 👍💕👍LOL

Wow! Your garden is looking STUNNING, it really is breathtakingly beautiful!! Each area/room seems to have it’s own personality and the garden seems to have grown into itself all of a sudden somehow. For a while all of your hard landscaping was acting like a main feature within an area but now it’s just one cohesive space where one thing enhances the next, with nothing screaming for it’s own attention. Your garden now reminds me of an orchestra with each individual piece having it’s own intrinsic beauty but truly coming into it’s own when it becomes a part of a whole new thing of beauty by working side by side with all of the other elements. It’s all looking so lush and healthy, great job by the whole team. Sending best wishes to you all and your families from Kathy - North Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 U.K. xx

I'm a former pond owner (converted it after several years to a waterfall and patio): you can simply pull out that algae. It comes out in long strings. And chickens like algae, so you might try supplementing their diet with what you pull out of the pond. Eventually - a few years - the string algae will stop forming even if the area is sunny (or at least it did with mine).

Love watching your videos. Wow can't believe how fast the kids are growing. I can't remember if you have planted azaleas or rhododendrons. I live in Vancouver BC Canada and at this time of year almost every yard has them blooming which is spectacular. If you are thinking about getting the kids a dog, there is a guy called Lee Asher who rescues animals. He is located in Oregon. He has over a hundred dogs. If you tell him what kind of dog you want, he will suggest what would be right for you. Alot have been rescued hours before they have been scheduled to be put down. He has horses rescued from kill pens. His website is The Asher House and also Lee Asher's World. All others are fake. When my daughter gets home from work we sit and watch your videos. Your videos have given her inspiration to make our garden and her BF's garden beautiful. Thank you🥰

Have you ever considered making a series of small flattish painted river stones on which you write the names of the landmark plants. This might be a great project for the kids to help them remember the names of the plants and they can give a tour for you and friends. The stones could then be tucked in near the plants as a reminder of the name.

Beautiful! One thing, that might have been mentioned before by the experts....a way to clear up algae fast without using chemicals is to have the water pass through a UV light. We got ours through The Pond Guy. Have had our pond for almost 20 years, and the frustration with algae was part of our pond journey. Creating shade, using sails, water exchanges helped some, but boy did the UV light attached to our filter system make all the difference! We have crystal clear water...All.the.time!!!!! :) Never had an issue since putting in the light four years ago. It was piece of cake to install! Our pond has koi, frogs, snakes and marginal pond plants. We live in 4b-5 Zone. Some shade from aspen trees, lodge pole pine. We must bring the pump and UV light in during the winter to avoid freezing. The koi go into their cave -6 ft below the surface and have survived for about 18 years. Our pond is a little smaller than your pond, but not by much. Another consideration is human use of the pond. Without chemicals, nasty rashes and swimmers itch can happen. So, something to think about with the kiddos. But, really, this pond addition is just lovely! Best of luck!

Everything is just so lovely! I haven’t been able to garden in three years due to medical reasons, so watching your space develop is my substitute! And it is such a joy!

Laura & Aaron, you two have such amazing vision and talent! I love so much, how you have transformed your property and home into this beautiful and wonderful garden oasis. I love even more that you share it with us, your Garden Answer Family, along with all of your gardening knowledge. I’ve learned so much from watching your videos over the years! I have one request though, and I’m certain that I can’t be the only one with this request…. As much as we all enjoy strolling THROUGH your gardens with you, I would LOVE to see some videos of what you see as you’re sitting inside your beautiful home looking OUT into that GLORIOUS SPACE that you’ve created. I’d love to see it from all the sides and even from the second floor windows. It must be a magical view!!❤😍😁 Come on GA Family, help me out here with some 👍

Thank you Laura and Arron for this wonderful tour of your beautiful garden. I look forward to all your tours. Since you have so much land, have you ever thought of putting in different colour zones/rooms? It would be so interesting and would create new secret rooms to go to. Imagine what you could do😀🤩Knowing your amazing creative gardening and design abilities, it would be tastefully put together. You could challenge yourself Laura, to even have a red room! (I'm not keen on red either) however, it would be beautiful and whimsical to see the different tones of foliage and flowers all used in one space! Imagine a blue zone, or the use of a couple of complimentary colours, for example, blue and lemon, or blue and pink, and so on. You could even use high hedges to create hidden rooms, so that it gives purpose and creates interest to go for a walk and visit each colour room through the changing seasons. I get so excited about your garden and what you have both accomplished, Laura, that I can't help expressing my enthusiasm. We used to have 5 acres when our children were growing up, and we both really miss that. I wish that RU-vid had been around back then.
